A civilian had broken into the police computer using the Chief's password, stolen information, used it to hunt down a suspected killer, and nearly executed an innocent-until-proven-guilty suspect in front of four police officers who didn't, and wouldn't, lift a finger to try to stop it.
Even in Miami, this was considered over-the-top. Way, way over-the-top.
(Dave Barry couldn't have said it better!)
Amid all this, a crazed group of women is exacting justice on its' own by killing released criminals in imaginative ways, but the group remains elusive to the police. The two scenarios come together in a clever way, and though readers know the identity of each of the women in the group, we can't wait to see how they get caught! The author's extensive computer knowledge is well-adapted and believable in this respect, and though there isn't any steamy sex, there is a romantic courtship that has us rooting for the prospective lovers for all the right reasons. All in all, a fun, engrossing read!
