This is a wonderful, little known, ancient text by an almost-lost Eastern Orthodox Christian author / theologian / saint of the early centuries. Fifty homilies (sermons), mostly on the major themes of the Orthodox Christian liturgical calendar (major events in the life / ministry of Christ, the feasts of major saints and the Mother of God (Theotokos), etc.) Great combinations of authentic, Apostolic theology and pastoral exhortations in a simple, pastoral style that communicates easily, documents traditions / teachings lost to most modern 'theologians' and pluralized Christians, while addressing timeless fundamentals of Christian life.
