From the Author
Serpent of Time takes place at the end of the Nanboku-cho period. During the second half of the 14th century, Japan's Imperial Court briefly split into Northern and Southern factions, with the Southern Court fighting to rule as well as reign. The Oei Rebellion, Ouchi Yoshihiro's revolt against the Ashikaga shogunate, came in the wake of the Southern Court's defeat.

I found the characters incredibly interesting. I actually didn't like the main character through the beginning but found the story overall interesting enough that I kept with it. By the end, she'd grown to be someone I quite liked. The process didn't feel hokie or forced either which I find an amazing feat.
This is a Re-Read 10 for me.
