This was another fantastic book from Kelly Collins. I fell in love with Keagan from the first book. I loved getting to know Holly and learn her story about how she ended up where she was and her past. She is such a lively character with so much to say. Keagan brought out something in her that she didn't know was there. I enjoyed the playfulness of them both. Not only with each other, but with the other characters within the book.

About the Author

Kelly Collins writes with theintention of keeping the love alive. Always a romantic, she is inspired byreal-time events mixed with a dose of fiction. She encourages her readers toreach the happily ever after but bask in the afterglow of the perfectly imperfectlove.

Kelly lives in Colorado at thebase of the Rocky Mountains with her husband of twenty-fiveyears, their two dogs, and a bird that hates her.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking the trails and visiting the mining towns like CrippleCreek. Could be there is gambling there, but she likes to think it's theambience that brings her there and not the amazing slot machine in the back ofthe casino.

In the winter, you'll find hertucked into her seat at The World Arena cheering her beloved Colorado CollegeTigers Hockey Team.  After several losing seasons she knows there's a wincoming soon.  Kelly is no fair weather fan. Tigers to the death.

She has three amazing children, and she wonders how they all turned out to be engineers when only the creativeside of her brain seems to work. She just chalks it up to the engineering genesher husband contributed to the mix.
Creative minds needan outlet and writing books is where she focuses her excess energy.

I was gifted this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Holly hasn't had an easy life. She wanted desperately to be with her mother during her final days, but this wasn't possible. There were other barriers she had to get through. Holly has a story to tell and to figure out what she was going to do with the rest of her life. And then Keagan showed up. From day one he knew she would be difficult to ignore, but ignoring her wasn't in the cards. They both would soon find out they were either going to be together or apart.

This was another fantastic book from Kelly Collins. I fell in love with Keagan from the first book. I received an ARC for an honest review. Loved this book as much as the first one! Ya gotta love those McKinley boys!!! Holly has just gotten out of prison after 2 years for distributing an illegal substance on school grounds. She was only trying to get some marijuana to ease her mother's cancer pain. She lost her nurses license. Her fiance, Matt, said he'd wait....yeah, right, douchebag. Keagan doesn't know which way is up, he is so wound up about Holly. He thinks she's hot but she's a distraction he doesn't want, right, right??? Great story. Fun interaction between characters I've grown to love already in just 2 books! Kelly Collins makes them so real they feel like your own family. Can't wait for the next book!!

I think book 2 was even better than book 1. I liked that Holly's outlook on life after she was released from prison was still optimistic. I think what I really like about this book it that it incorporates the characters we met in the first book but builds a stand alone story for this new couple. Still looking forward to meeting the rest of the women from Cell Block C.

I absolutely adore this series by Kelly Collins. The characters are so true to life, just like in all of get books.

I was so happy to read Holly and Keagans story. Holly overcame so much but finally received her happily ever after.

I'm excited to read the future books that will come with this series and learn more about all the other girls.

Thank you Kelly Collins for writing such amazing stories.

Got this as an ARC exchange for a honest review.
So you get to meet Holly who was a friend to Mickey in jail. She gets released and gets to stay on Mickey's ranch, the girls are so excited! Holly tells Mickey about her boyfriend cheating and wanting to catch him. Plans go very well, she finds out who he is with and that gives her hints as into why she can't get her nursing licences back. She finally tells her new friends what happen and why she went to jail. That her boyfriend told her where to go get marijuana for her mom, she has and never wanted to do this but her mom is dying of cancer and this stuff will help.
But it gets bad, she gets busted for buying and by a school..ouch. jail time. The really sad part is while inside her mom passes away..totally stinks..She couldn't get to go. So when she gets out of jail she has a mission to find out who called it in about her buying drugs, she has been set up! The person who set her up was someone she knew and though of as friend, that stinks. So not only does she want a second chance at life, career, but love and oh does she find it, with a hot hunky sexy ranch stud!!!

This book has it all, happiness, sadness, anger, friendship, love, fights, adventure, romance, unease and heartache. You will feel the emotions and fall in love with all the characters. I love that she gets a second chance at love and her career and she finds the true person who set her up and took her life away. I like that she finally opens up and trust people to help her, it's beautiful to watch her get her confidence back!! It's very well written story, looking forward to more from this series and author.
Must read!!!

My Review:

I am thoroughly enjoying Kelly Collin's Second Chance series. Book two, Set Aside, provides an active, intriguing, and amusing yet heart squeezing love story between a female ex-con and a cowboy who likes to watch Hallmark movies and the Food Channel. Smirk. Ms. Collin's brings clever humor, angst, steamy sensuality, and a sweet love story to this entertaining plot. I am already looking forward to book three, Set In Stone.
