As someone who has used the power of setting goals to move forward with weight loss and business endeavors, I really liked the simplicity of this book. The exercises and templates in the book are very easy to use and the author uses examples that anyone can relate to and use to design their own personal goals. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to get serious about forward momentum in any key area of life.

The table of contents (5 pages) is longer than the content for each of the "goal setting templates"... each template is just 3 questions answering what-how-when and nothing more. Possibly useful for someone who has never set a goal before. Very basic and was hoping for something much more detailed.

If you have read books about goal setting, such as the ones by Brian Tracy and others, you would know the importance of writing down the goals and then reading them out everyday. This is one of the most important aspects of being able to achieve the goals.

In this book, the author has provided ready to use templates and worksheets with step by step instructions for different types of goals. The user just needs to fill in the blanks to personalize it.

This is really an awesome tool to put goal setting into action.

I'm so sorry but this book is not worth the 99 cents it costs. It keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. What you read in the 7 to 10 pages you read, he could have written in one page and that would be the whole book. Worst book I ever ordered on Amazon. Save your money.

I strongly believe in the law of attraction. A few months ago I wrote a few random things I wanted to achieve on a piece of paper and forgot about it - or so I thought. Recently I found the paper and was pleasantly surprised that I had in fact achieved every one of them. This I believe is the power of the sub-conscious mind.

I picked up this handy guide to prepare a list of goals in the 7 key areas as defined in this book. It is not a book on "goal setting" per se but as the name suggests a set of templates to putting down on paper what you want to achieve in each area. Defining goals in this way not only sets you on the path to achieving them. It also gives purpose and direction to your life.

Great tool - recommended - buy!

Being a self employed professional procrastinator (well ok, I don't get paid for the actual procrastination!) I have been told (by my dear wife) that perhaps I should get some organisational tools, other than 23 seemingly randomly placed Post-it notes (actually strategically located) around my home office. But the majority of supposedly helpful Kindle guides are either new agey nonsense, or just too flipping DULL. Enter Paul Maxwell's 'Setting Goals'! Phewee - it's easy to digest, interesting and interactive! The templates are an excellent idea too. And it has worked for me - I'm sure it will help you too. Score!

When I was in business school I remember hearing about a Harvard Business School study where they had some students create well-defined goals and write them down, and other students did not. 20 years later the students who wrote down goals were more successful in every aspect of their lives and happier.

That told me about the power of goals! This book helps the reader create well-defined goals, and goes the extra step in creating a practice that will help the goal-setter achieve their goals more quickly.
