Believe me, it’s not just a matter of personal taste. The stories in this book are awarded stories, published in big name magazines or anthologies. For instance, “Saturn in G Minor” won the Grand Prize in the Writers of the Future contest and was nominated for the Prix Aurora Award. It didn’t won just the first place in one of the quarters. The. Grand. Prize. The first place of the first places.
Anyway, we expect big things from Stephen. Not only because he has been hailed as one of speculative fiction's "talented up-and-comers" by Publisher's Weekly, and the author of "gloriously wild ideas" by Locus. But because we saw what he can do. And we believe in him. And this is not the royal “we”. I mean the “we” from his writers group, The Stop Watch Gang.
He’s also promised us a novel. So, I’m going to say nice things of him until he gives us the novel. I am that selfish with the things I like.
