I have been a strong supporter and big fan of Kendall Ryan but Book 2 of this duet is disappointing on a couple of levels. The “scandal” that wasn’t, except for the buildup that touted it but again, amounted to nada. And the “breakup” that also fizzled and had the big, bad CEO mewling like a kitten. Gah! My third disappointment was yet again, the way too short length of this novel that is more novella than a full-length book. I’ve sung this song before but it’s fallen on deaf ears so now its time to let my purse do the talking. I realize in the grand scheme of things, one fewer reader will go unnoticed but it is the consumer’s only recourse. As a retiree, my reading budget is limited so I try to spend it wisely. Three stars.
This book duo is pretty disappointing. I'll stick with my Kindle Unlimited authors from now on. At least I won't be paying so much for such poorly edited books.
Seven Nights of Sin is the delicious conclusion to the Penthouse Affair duet. This book picks up right where The Two Week Arrangement left off, so if you haven't read that one, you're going to want to dive into it first!
We left Presley having called Dominic to come to her rescue and that is exactly where we find our duo at the outset. Even with everything that has happened between them, Presley is delighted to learn that she still has her job at Aspen Hotels. It's clear Presley knows her stuff and she is competent and is an asset to have at Aspen and even despite their issues, Dominic doesn't want to lose a quality employee.
Even though Dominic has thrown up all kinds of walls in terms of their personal relationship, Presley is not willing to let it go so easily. While she has broken his trust, she's willing to prove to him that she can be trusted. While she's trying to do that, she's also trying to reconcile how she did the one thing he told her not to do - fall in love with him. When a week-long business trip throws the two of them together, it gives Presley the opportunity she needs to try to make Dominic see he can trust her. Will she be able to tear down those walls of his?
This was a great finish to this duet. You get a bit of everything in this book including undeniable chemistry, sexual tension and plenty of emotion. Throw in a healthy dose of family and friends and you have a fantastic tale. Definitely worth adding to your TBR!
This couple’s chemistry sizzled despite their tenuous relationship, and they couldn’t seem to stay away from each other. Sparks fly whenever they’re together, but Dominic isn’t one to trust easily and, right or wrong, his trust in Presley was shaken. Compounding that, he also believes he’s incapable of loving someone, and perhaps also unworthy of receiving love. Presley is a very determined woman, though, and that determination is tested as she sets about winning Dom’s trust back. He definitely runs hot and cold with Presley, yet he can’t seem to push her away. Just when they both seem to be making some ground with each other, their bond is tested yet again, and the strength that Presley showed through that tumultuous time really impressed me.
I inhaled this sexy, slow-burn romance, often at the edge of my seat as I rode out the storms and basked in the sunshine with Dominic and Presley. Seven Nights of Sin was sexy, emotional, and a wholly satisfying, unputdownable conclusion to Dominic and Presley’s story. I loved this couple, I loved the build-up of their relationship, and I was all-in on their journey the whole way. Seven Nights of Sin by Kendall Ryan gets 4.5 smooches from me!
For two young twenty year old's this book tells a normal story of misunderstanding, holding grudges, and mistakes.
Dominic and Presley have already been intimate. Dom says that he can't feel love since it doesn't exist. He also wants to hurt Presley for her prior mistake. He takes her to London and starts off by being a dick. Then he apologizes and treats her well only to basically dump her when they get home.
Presley finally understands that Dom just can't give her what she needs. He has built walls to high for her to climb and she's tired of trying. She knows that she will have to quit her dream job and find other employment. She also has to realize that she must say goodbye to his twin daughters alone by herself because he will never let her in.
I loved how these two fumble around a relationship for so long. They don't seem capable of maturing into a couple. I did love how at the end of the book her family got together and healed some. I usually read a book in two days but I have been sick.

As an ambitious intern Presley agrees to go on a business trip to London with Dominic and when he takes her his meetings she learns more in four days of business boot camp than her four years at college. And the sex was awesome and plenty. Then she urgently step in and looked after the twins Lacey and Emilia when they and their nanny get stomach flu and Dominic was out of town on a business trip.
Well, what happens when the intern period finishes? Will she have to leave? Will Presley and Dominic's relationship change? Only reading this book will give you the answers.
There is more emotions in this book, you see Dominic having a more human side, however it's these emotions that he has never really used or seen show him confused on how he feels. He compartmentalises his whole life that when he gets closer to Presley it throws him in a loop.
The second part takes off from where the last book finishes. Presley is in a turmoil on how to get Dominic to believe she's still trustworthy. To the point where she throws herself on Dominic for sex to get him to try to understand how much she can sacrifice. However Dominic is too bullheaded and hurt to take Presley back.
However things change when Dominic needs Presley on a work related issue thus throwing them back into each others lives - heart, body and soul.
The hurtful thing is how Dominic easily chucks aside Presley's feelings again and again without thinking of the repercussions.
This book was intense, sexy, emotional and healing.
A fantastic epilogue to look forward to. Just wish there was more to read. It ended too quick for me.
Thank you Kendall for another fantastic read.
It left me feeling a little confused when the first book was quite intense.
