Seven Sparta charging cable holder is a simple but effective cable management system for Tesla model 3/model X/model S. You can screw into your garage wall and keep your charging cable off the ground. Only by 2 screws, it will hold the weight of the cable and charger head well. This is generally or use with the Tesla mobile connector and the cable will be neatly wrapped around the holder.

Keep Charging Cable Organized: When not in use, the cable end hooks securely on the unit, and it is easy to remove the cable. Sturdy enough to hold the weight of the cable coiled around it.
Easy to install: Simple and easy to install and use. The installation only takes 5-10 minutes. No moving parts, putting it on the wall was easy. Two screws secure it to the garage wall.

Better than Tesla’s cable holder

I own both versions, The one made by tesla and this one…and let me tell you that this is Far Better than Tesla’s cable holder !
It’s Way more sturdier and the handle does not stick out like the other one on the Tesla version. The nozzle goes in further and catches more securely to the handle.

I like the holder. It is attractive and reasonably priced. It appears to be pretty well made although I would have liked to have seen the mounting plate a little more sturdy. I can see where someone over tightening the screws when mounted on a rough surface could crack the plastic. I mounted mine on a rough brick wall and wound up putting a bead of non hardening Gorilla glue sealer on the back of the mounting plate so that it had good contact at all points. The screws were snugged until the glue stiffened overnight. It is now pretty solid and rigid.

Note that the device can apparently be mounted on a standard 1/2 inch pipe as it has a hole through the back the right diameter. I took advantage of this hole by cutting a short piece of gray PVC conduit to serve as a back stop for the cable. Over the years I figure this will help protect the cable from abrasion against the rough brick wall. I will include a photo in case others want to adopt the idea.

Anyway, my only con is that it could be a little more robust on the mounting plate, metal would actually be great but I am sure that would raise the cost. All in all it appears to be a good value and holds the cable and plug very well. If installed with common sense it should hold up well.

Sturdy, but doesn't fit J1772 adapter

I use an OpenEVSE device for charging my Tesla and therefore, use the J1772 to Tesla adapter full time. Unfortunately, the charge end holder of this product is too deep to allow the J1772 adapter to catch on the internal nub.

The stock Tesla charge cables work fine and the unit is well constructed. I'd highly recommend except for my use case.

This product works perfectly at what it says. It's extremely sturdy and rugged enough feeling where I'm not worried that it's hanging up outside. I live in a state where I get all four seasons and pretty rough winters, but I'm sure this product will be just fine. The holder for the charging port just has a simple hook design on it to hold it in place so that's also one less thing that could break on it. Overall I think it's great, and will definitely last a while.

It just looks rather messy when the wire is rolled on the holder because it's not uniform due to the wire going through the middle. not really an issue that has an obvious solution
