I've used 7th generation diapers on my children for years and recently bought a box of the newborn size for our new baby. I started him with a pack from Target that functioned and looked exactly the same as the others I've used in the past and then started using the ones from the box from Amazon. The diapers from Amazon are noticeably different in that they leak TERRIBLY. My tiny not even 8lb newborn peed in one earlier while I was holding him and ended up with pee all around his waist (no this was definitely not a user error related to him being a boy...this is our 5th son!). I've noticed the diapers are absolutely sopping wet to the touch even if he pees just a little, meaning he cries each and every time he goes. He wasn't doing that in our first bag of diapers from Target and it makes for a very fussy baby. The diapers are damp on the outside too, which should NOT be happening. These things are useless!

No, you won't find Winnie the Pooh here. Nor will you find a ph-stripe that turns blue when it detects urine. But that also means you don't have to pay for either of those things!

What we have here is a diaper that soaks up waste. And its disposable!

These are great diapers for those looking for a way to avoid many of the chemicals found in others but who also just want the job done. Some have complained about a change since older ones, or how these "amazon diapers are different". I don't know what any of that means, because we have only ordered them from here.

And except for two times where they leaked (because I, the dad, forgot to fold the flaps out - see, me, taking personal responsibility) these have been great!

Also, using the subscribe and save, they turn out way cheaper than many other options. So, we will continue with these for the next size and see how those go as well.

I wanted to use these as a more Earth friendly option. I didn't realize it meant giving up the point of putting a diaper on my baby. The hospital gave me Pampers and when they were gone I opened the Seventh Generation NBs. My little girl, a week old at the time, peed...it went straight through the diaper and through her clothes. I thought it was my fault, so I put another one on her. Same thing happened again. I tried a third time...same problem. I bought Pampers, tried them...no issues! Called Amazon and returned them. Not worth the headache!!

We have 4 kids and have used 7th Generation diapers for all of them, newborn to 4T/5T pull-ups. This new batch of newborn diapers is terrible. Every single one has leaked. Sometimes the diaper is nearly dry but the baby's clothing is soaked, on the back, and he's a boy, so that doesn't make sense other than the product is defective. We're pretty much pros at diapering at this point (yay us? sorry, environment!) so it's not user error. Not buying these again and I'm stuck with 4 unopened packages.

With a new baby, I've tried several brands of diapers as I've seen sale prices. I know the Seventh Generation brand has a pretty good reputation, so I decided to try them, when I got a great discount through a coupon and Amazon Mom. As I say in the title, they are fine, but nothing special. I find their absorbancy to be about the same as Pampers, a little better than Huggies, and not as good as White Cloud (believe it or not). Their fit isn't quite as good as any of the 3 I mentioned. I've noticed that there are stretch marks on baby's bottom with Seventh Generation that I don't see on any of the other brands. It's also the only one without the wetness indicator. I'm sure there is a benefit to no bleached fibers, etc, but I personally think that is a marketing ploy to sell an inferior diaper at a premium price. I'm sure this diaper may work awesome for some, and for me, it worked ok. But, in my opinion, it's definitely not worth paying even a penny higher than any other brand.

I am puzzled over the bad reviews. I have used them for 2 1/2 years on my almost 4 year old and now am using them on our 3 month old. I have always loved, and still love these. In fact, I use cloth as well and these are my go-to overnight, babysitter, and training pull-up (Tried to save money on another brand but just couldn't do without the tear apart sides!) brand. Like any disposable, you do have to fan out the gussets to get them to work best. The company does color them, but it is not the toxic dyes you see in other diapers. They have an explanation...I believe I read it on their website, I know I read it from the company somewhere. Anyway, I am a loyal fan and find them a solid choice.

They work great on our newborn and we have not had any issues at all. Don't hesitate to purchase. Not sure what's up with some of the reformulation reviews and leaking problems. I think their kids might have a urinary problem or the parents can't put them on properly.

I like that these are natural and degrade quicker but I don't like the diapers themselves. First, they may be newborn but unless your baby is super long you need to fold the front over about an inch. I thought it was me until my husband and mother also said the same thing. My baby is average length so... Aldo I font like that when she pees the diaper balloons and gets really heavy. It becomes very gel-like similar to traditional diapers. This causes baby to cry unlike when we use the Huggies Pure and Natural. I also hate that these don't have the strip that indicates when they're wet! Will not purchase again.
