Good story line with good characters. Potential for more books in this series. This book is a cliff hanger with no HEA. The price for approximately 178 pages is too high, considering the fact it is not a complete stand alone novel.

Ever since the hit television show Sons of Anarchy came roaring into my life, I have been fascinated with MC culture. Obviously, I'm not the only one. Suddenly, the image of what a biker used to look like has a new face. Not all bikers must have long grizzly beards, fat beer bellies, and smell as if they haven't bathed in days. SOA helped reinvent the biker image and has given many authors inspiration to write about motorcycle clubs. While these hardened men may have the tats and sport a beard, underneath the leather cut is hot, sculpted muscle. I recently took a break from reading MC romance, mainly because the genre had become oversaturated with the same old story lines. It almost seemed like authors were trying to purposely make their novels more edgy, more twisted as if that is the key to writing a successful romance now. Anyway, I found myself getting irritated, so I decided to turn my attentions to something else for a bit. Then I came across the yummy cover for Severed Angel by K.T. Fisher and Ava Manello. Was it a book about angels? Demons? Imagine my surprise when I read the blurb and realized it was going to be a book about an Australian MC. That caught my interest and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to give this one a shot.

So here are some of the things I enjoyed about Severed Angel. As much as I wanted to give one whole star just for the drool worthy eye candy on the front cover, I was obviously looking for something different in the overall story and plot and thankfully the authors delivered the goods. First, you have Eve, a British girl who is traveling to Australia to visit her best friend, Teresa, who she hasn't seen in years and to participate in her wedding.

This is MY OPINION of the book. Please read the synopsis and any warnings the author has offered. If you read reviews then read all reviews before making a decision. Also, some services offer the first chapter for free. Please read that.

What happens when a girl who wants excitement in her life meets a biker who doesn't want love in his?
TROUBLE. Eve thought she was going to spend some time with her childhood best friend and be the maid of honor in the wedding. What she didn't expect was to turn the wrong way and end up in the middle of mayhem.

Angel had no intention of getting involved with his President's soon to be wife's best friend. He was content getting his satisfaction with the clubhouse girls. However, when he is sent to pick up Eve at a convenient store in the wrong town he cannot help being attracted to her.

Eve has brought tension to the Severed MC. She didn't mean to do it but she did. She is now locked down in a clubhouse in an environment she has only read about in books. She is also trying to fight a growing attraction to the club's VP, Angel.

Tension is high as the Severed MC tries to keep everyone safe from the cross town rivals, Carnal MC. This is weighing on Angel because his brother is the VP over there....and Satan is one mean biker.....

Follow Eve as she learns about life in the MC. Watch as Angel deals with demons from the past to come to terms with his feelings in the present.

This book has love, lust, detailed sex scenes, murder, loss, anger, and hate...

Side note---I enjoyed Chapter 15 the most.....

One click this book today. It is a great MC book....

Eve flies to Australia from England for her best friends wedding. Her best friend is marrying the President of a local MC, Severed. While your typical bikers, the Severed MC are decent guys that stay within the law. On her drive to the Severed clubhouse from the airport, Eve gets lost and ends up witnessing a murder at a roadside convenience store. The murderer, a rival MC's Vice President, sees her but is unable to kill her when she is rescued by the Severed MC.

Now she is being hunted by the rival MC as she is an eyewitness to the crime. Complicating things further, she falls for the Severed MC's VP, Angel. Angel is the twin brother of the guy currently hunting her, Satan. See, it's complicated.

This book was hard for me to get into, and had some big inconsistencies. Such as, five years ago Satan raped and tortured Angel's wife then sent the video of it happening to Angel. Angel came home after receiving the video to find his wife killed herself. But the guy is still alive and well? Angel didn't seem to be too hung up on this either. Satan does this again to a club whore and dumps her body outside the Severed clubhouse. This happens as the MC is trying to come up with a plan to get law enforcement to arrest Satan so Eve can be safe. Hello? How about turn over the dead whore and the video of Satan doing it?!

Anyways, it did manage to pull out a little better ending- but it was a cliffhanger. Not too sure I will be continuing with the series. I did t connect with the characters, they were pretty flat and undeveloped.
