It would be practically impossible to return the item since it comes in 300 pieces and the poor quality is not apparent until it is assembled. Even if it were disassembled, it would be impossible to get it back in the box to be sent back.
It arrived on schedule and was well packaged in a double carton box as well as internal Styrofoam insulation. Despite that, I still had one slightly bent panel. The materials are or seem to be of a decent quality. As someone else pointed out, this is NOT a stainless steel cabinet. The drawer faces are or appear to be although they may actually be a high polish aluminum. Everything else is a powder coated grayish sheet metal. Still, it looks nice.
So why only 3 stars? Well frankly if I had it to do over again, I would purchase the comparably priced Husky unit at the "Big Box" orange store. Much larger- at least twice to three times the capacity, comparably well constructed at the same price and FULLY ASSEMBLED!
So no, I would not recommend you buy this unit.
Make sure you understand that it doesn't come with any two panels attached to one another. Not the cabinet. Not the drawers. It's just a box of stamped panels with a piece of wood and all the right screws. The drawer slides were attached to the side panels, but you have to remove a few of those to facilitate putting the panels together, then put them back on. I expect the screws to rust eventually, but mine will be kept inside the house.
First and foremost, there are a LOT of screws and assembly!
Some people complained about receiving bent pieces, but mine were all perfect even though the box was a bit rough.
Some people complained about the instructions, but I had no issues. Just pay attention and go slow. I suggest two people (I had my son help and hold parts). I also used blue locktite on all the screws which I HIGHLY recommend as there are no lock washers. I put each part together loosely, lined everything up and then tightened.
The casters on this thing are HUGE! awesome.
So now that it is all put together, it is nice and sturdy and looks great. I wouldn't put super heavy things in it but I am using it for my gunsmithing tools and it works fantastic. I will certainly be buying the matching upper cabinet.
