This is the perfect example of how pharmaceutical companies influence doctors, medical education, public discourse, and the promotion of unnecessary products. In the wake of the FDA's approval of flibanserin (Addyi), a drug for female sexual desire disorders that is slightly better than placebo, clinically insignificant in its effects, and promoted as a treatment for a disorder (hyposexual desire disorder) that isn't even recognized as a clinical diagnosis anymore, it really needs to be read.
