I am a HUGE sucker for a friends to lovers trope and this one was a really good one. Will and Texas have been friends since they were kids. She's had a crush on him almost as long. They shared a single kiss as teens that didn't work out so well, so they've never explored that again.
But when Texas starts getting sexts from a guy who has the wrong phone number, Will can't resist. Who knew Texas could get turned on like that? He's intrigued and this provides just the opportunity he's been looking for, because unbeknownst to her, he wants her...and not just as his friend.
I loved this story. It was so sweet and romantic. Both these characters want the same thing, but are terrified of ruining their friendship by letting the other know that. It's also incredibly sexy. Texas is shy and sweet especially when it comes to sex, but it turns out that Will definitely knows how to push her buttons. But the best thing is...they're best friends. They know each other so well, they know how to pull one another out of a funk, an anger, or a pout. It makes this story work so well! I love that and I loved this story. Just one that makes romance reading fun!
