Shacke’s Luggage Tags w/ Full Back Privacy Cover Are Easy to Spot
Using a luggage tag to help identify your luggage does not mean it has to be boring. Instead Shacke has developed a new line of long rubber luggage tags that are fun, easy to spot, and helps put a little personality to your own travel experience. Simply write your information directly onto the card using a ball point pen. Our full back privacy cover will completely hide your information from prying eyes. Simply put the metal loop through the luggage tag and it will keep the cover closed.
Our luggage tags are made from thick and durable rubber along with a sturdy steel loop for added durability. We have provided the best balance between durability, functionality, and personalization. The luggage tag is completely bendable/flexible to prevent it from breaking.

-LARGE and easy to see. Much larger and thicker than the photos make them look. If someone at baggage claim grabs your bag, you can be like, "Hey, bro. That's clearly my bag. See the neon green Shacke Tag? Boom, thought so." "You're welcome, freshly stolen crystal skull, you will make it to the American museum of my choosing, where you belong."
-The rubber material seems to be pretty much indestructible. Good for the airport, or for fighting Nazis at archaeological sites.
-Your personal information can only be seen if someone takes the time to remove the connector ring and open the flap. Now nobody will find out that you stole your nickname from the family dog.
-Price: These cost less than many "high end" luggage tags that I've had that were A) boring, and B) fell apart within a year of purchase. This is good, since the salary for a 1940's archaeology professor is pretty crappy, regardless of tenure.
-The screw together wire ring seems like it could come undone, so I just used a large key ring to attach it to my bag for a more secure connection. Not a big deal at all, though. Probably me just being paranoid, as I usually travel with pounds of raw diamonds and other precious gems in my bags after my many adventures through booby trapped catacombs.
I'm getting up there in years, but I definitely have at least one more expedition scheduled (2019 - check it out!). I'm glad I will have these luggage tags to help me protect my artifacts upon returning home. Would definitely buy again.
We ordered yellow tags to provide a bright contrast with our black luggage. The Shacke tags were the brightest shade of yellow and they are built like a tank, with metal grommets where the wire loop goes through the main tag and the fold out ID cover. The wire loop holds the ID cover firmly in place but also provides enough leeway to allow someone to look under the cover to see our ID info without unscrewing the wire loop. I screwed the wire loop connectors tightly and also covered them with 3M electrical tape to protect them from loosening. Loctite thread lock compound could also be used as an alternative to electrical tape.
Another reviewer noted the Shacke tags are a bit heavy. They do weigh 1.5 oz. per tag, compared to about 1 oz. per tag for the other tags we considered. We decided that .5 oz. per tag is a reasonable weight increase for a well-built tag with a secure metal loop.
My first review stated that one of the cables was put together backwards so it would not screw together. I only needed one tag so I figured I would just hold the other tag as a spare or attach it some other way. Well the company emailed me to see if I liked the product. I mentioned that I really liked it but that I could only use one because of the defective attachment wire. They apologized profusely and a couple of days later a package of three attachment cables arrived in the mail! I have started keeping a list of companies with good products and great customer service. I don't use companies that don't have high quality customer service anymore. That's what sets companies apart from each other now days. This is a great product and wonderful customer service so they made it to my list!

Now binned - they were filthy after just a few trips, even the one on my hand luggage!
The address is easily accessible because of the design - it is so very easy to lift up the cover enough to see underneath to the address.
My biggest concern is they are huge and heavy, very clumpy. All in all quite ugly
