I should have stopped at Shades of Twilight, but I'm not working and bored and it's like even though you aren't thrilled with a movie...you still bug someone to find out how it ends. Again...edit! And Melissa is less likable in this book (although I'm only to chapter 11). And the story moves at a snails pace. Oh and correct me if I'm wrong...didn't Michael's Uncle kick him out and he was going to stay with Melissa? I'm not that bothered by it where I'll go back to Shades of Twilight for the answer. And again with the Mike and Michael...Read Amanda Hocking's stuff...much better

Now I'm really pissed...the damn book is missing chapter 14 which is I think (but can't tell for sure) where something actually happens!

The book has major inconsistencies. Not just about locations, but what the characters are saying and doing from chapter to chapter. It also needs A LOT of editing, from random stray letters in a sentence to double words to just plain horrible grammar. I have to say this is not the worst editing job I've seen thus far and I own almost 200 Kindle books, but this is the first book I have taken the time to write a review on.

I would also prefer not to read about the Twilight Series while I am reading a completely different author's work. It feels as though the author is defending his very similar story lines. And Yes, there are many similarities. The book also ends very abruptly and like it is an unfinished product.

I wouldn't recommend this series until I knew the problems were fixed. I purchased the first book for Free and decided to actually pay for the second one to finish. The first seems a little more polished but still needs work.

I absolutely LOVED this book! Melissa grows up a great deal, isn't as whinny as in the past, which I know can be annoying but it sure gave her character! I had to keep reminding myself that she is young still, just out of high school and I couldn't expect her to be totally put together. I mean really, what would I do in the situations that she has found herself in? The author does an excellent job at showing the reader what the characters are like with his words. One of the things that I like most about this book, as well as all of this authors books is the unique characters that he puts in his stories. You never know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised by the ending of this book.

Author has Melissa grow up a bit but forgets to refer to her first book. In the first book Michael moves in and in the second one he is going back to his place during the day...no real explanation as to the change except that he needs to do more than rest. It seems like it is missing a chapter which may have explained a lot of things. Wish I had not purchased it but I had to know what happens ( which I guess gives the author some points).
