Shadow Fall by Audrey Grey is by far one of the best books that I have read this year. -- Peachy Keen Book Reviews.
An edge-of-your-seat, thrilling action-adventure reminiscent of "An Ember in the Ashes" and "Red Queen", Audrey Grey is a debut author to watch out for. Not only does Shadow Fall have you tearing through the pages with its roaring action and cliff-hanging chapter endings, it is also beautifully imagined, artistically written with paragraphs of gorgeous, bleeding prose, and meticulously edited . . . Phenomenal. -Esther Dalseno, author of Drown
With three major characters that never stops putting me on the edge of my seat, very well constructed and well written plots, adventures that left me gasping with each twists and turns, a romance that is just too freaking amazing, a villain that makes me want to introduce him to dementors, an ending that left me frozen with shock, I declare Shadow Fall one of the best books I have ever read. -Author Cassie James.
Shadow Fall is an intense, action-packed book . . . As for the plot itself, well it twists and turns, throwing new action at the turn of every page . . . Exceptionally well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, this was a thoroughly enjoyable book that I would happily recommend, and I look forward to reading further in the series. -Merissa, Reviewer at Archaeolibrarian I Dig Books
This is definitely YA Dystopian at its best . . . I finished this late last night, and I am so ready for the next book . . . Shadow Fall is one of the best books I've read this year. -I Fall In Love Book Blog
This was an amazing read. The more I turned the pages, the more I fell into the rich, intricate world that was so vividly constructed by Audrey Grey. -Jacob Devlin, author of the Order of the Bell Series
Oh my. Did you like the Hunger Games? The Maze Runner? Divergent? Good because Shadow Fall has glimmers of all of the above within it - plus a whole lot of original stuff too. Do you love a strong heroine in the same vein as Calaena Sardothien - part ruthless killer and part human being? Excellent, because Maia / Everley ticks that box . . . I freaking loved this. --Rosemarie Short, Literature Love Reviews
About the Author
Audrey Grey lives in the charming state of Oklahoma, with her husband, two little people, and four mischievous dogs. You can usually find her hiding out in her office from said little people and dogs, surrounded by books and sipping kombucha while dreaming up wondrous worlds for her characters to live in.

Now the world building in this book is amazing. You feel like you are right there in the mix of it, feeling the fear and anxiety the characters felt. The author did a wonderful job creating a truly immersible world. It didn't feel clunky or vague.
The characters were incredible, but I will admit I favored Riser. He was just so... adorable. In a completely bad-ass way. The author basically had to define what a character would look like, act like without access to technology. She did such a great job, and didn't fall out of character at all. Many times you see authors falling into old habits, for example a character who never encountered technology being able to turn of a stereo without explanation. She really followed each character through and kept them in sync. Masterful Job!
Overall, the author did a splendid job, and is incredibly talented! Now I just have to wait for book 2, which is going to be agonizing!
P.S. I also bought the paperback, because just look at that cover!
Maia was such an interesting character. Special for a reason unknown other, she has been fighting all her life simply to survive, because Lord knows the world would like nothing more than to see her perish. But she thrives and she survives, and she might just be the key that saves the earth from mass destruction. But how?
I was so intrigued by the concept of “reconstruction” and the large role that it played in this world. What would it be like to literally put on someone else’s skin? To be someone else entirely…or maybe not entirely. Because a small, scared piece of the old Maia still remains. But will it help her odds at survival? Or will it be the thing that gets her killed?
I highly recommend this book to dystopian lovers and those who enjoy a tale of adventure and peril. It has elements of romance in it, but I think that it is second to the story and world-building in this book. Be forewarned though, there is a MAJOR cliffhanger at the end. Beware all ye who pass beyond this review, and I sincerely hope y’all enjoy the ride!
Omg what a great read it was.
This novel kept me going. I didn't want to put it down for a minute. I didn't want to miss thing. All I wanted to now more about the characters and the more I kept reading the more I was enjoying them all. All threw the book chapter by chapter they kept me guessing of what they are. All I wanted to do was to jump in the book and be like I'm here. I wanted to join them! This is what this novel make me want to do!
What a Great YA read!
It truly was a delightful to read and I enjoyed it so much.
I highly recommend everybody to read this awesome fantastic fantasy novel.
I can't wait for her next book!!!
Book 2 please!!!
There was so much going on with this book. At first I had to reread the first couple of chapters since I felt as if I was getting confused. There was so many things happening that I couldn't remember who was who. Once I got it I was just fine. (I have a brain disorder that was acting up this year)
It was a really exciting book. The way Audrey described the "pit" I was able to feel, smell, and see it in my mind.
Maia the main character is spunky, strong and determined. I loved her.
She is looking for her little brother Max.
The other characters are awesome and amazing especially Riser.
I do not give out spoilers. So, I think this was a great book!!! Grab it!!!
