As we all know Shadow has an interesting sexual lifestyle and Tatiana was starting to look into it/dabble because of her interest in him. However, I did NOT expect all that happened between them especially the way they both connected on a deeper level than just sex. I will say my favorite scene is when Tatiana and Piper partake in some stuff they shouldn't have which put the brothers through the ringer ;)
As always with this series we have love, drama, death and whole lot of attitude coming from every side but we also have deep family love.
I can't wait to see what is next for Shadow and Tatiana, unfortunately, we can tell it won't be easy and may cause more heartbreak for all involved.
Every time Tea and Shadow are in the same room the sparks fly but bc of the demons Shadow fights he knows he has to stay away from her. The more time that passes, the harder it becomes for him because Tea is determined to show him she is not the little girl he thinks she is.
Will Shadow finally give in and take what he knows he craves more than anything else? Will Tea still be there waiting when and if he does?
You are warned before reading that this book is different from the others in the series which it is but HOLLLLYY COW I loved seeing Shadow's dark side!! I also loved seeing Tea on more than one occasion putting her foot down and showing everyone she is no longer the child they all still see her as.
I loved getting more on the other characters from the Breakneck series as well....Braxx, Winter, ZZ, Storm, Phyro (as well as a few new others)
Crystal has definitely done it again and I will be anxiously awaiting for more on Shadow, Tea, and the whole gang!!! I highly recommend one clicking this whole series if you have not!!
Again this story is not for the faint hearted its raw, dirty, sexy, possessive, powerful and has triggers. I advise starting with book one of this series because you will be lost if you read Shadowing Me without reading the three stories before this. Breakneck Series is a series you have to read in order or you will miss important information regarding the characters and plots. Happy Reading!!!
There is a lot going going on but very limited support so that you can not fully understand the character’s choices. The author explain in notes at the beginning and end that stories of specific characters and unresolved issues are taken care in other books. This just seemed like a detailed outline for other books to me.
Focusing primarily on the relationship of Tatiana and Shadow, this book introduced us to Shadow's sadistic sexual needs. Although I usually love a little kink in my books, for some reason it just didn't do it for me this time around. Perhaps it is because the relationship between the two seemed to lack a deep emotional connection. I'm not exactly sure. The sex seemed cold and mechanical. Whatever the reason, it just wasn't as appealing to me.
Although Tatiana and Shadow were the primary focus of this book, there was a lot going on in the background. For such a short read, it was a little busy and the end result was a rushed feeling. I can see that this book has been used to serve as a bridge to later books to follow, paving the way for several other stories that are yet to be told. For me, it just was too much drama to have crammed into so few pages and too many issues left unresolved at the end of the book.
In the end, I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. I'm left feeling like, "Meh, it's okay." It has been a while since I'd revisited this series and I'm on the fence as to whether or not I'll continue it beyond this point.
