Olivier Gagnon fell in love with the Shadowrun Roleplaying Game at the tender age of 12 and has never looked back. He made the jump from fan to freelance writer in 2006, steadily working on various projects ever since then.

He is the author of the Yuri and Soren short stories, starting with "Vladivostok Gauntlet", as well as the Mr. Johnson stories beginning with "Nothing Personal".

Olivier is also the author of several Shadowrun PDF-only sourcebook supplements as well as contributing author to several Shadowrun print-format rulebooks.

This one is one of my favorites, as it reminds me of Alec Baldwin's character in "Glengarry GlenRoss" mixed with "The Wolf" from "Pulp Fiction".

It reads fast, with angles flying at you as the pieces are put together, and it only seems to pause-- as if for a breath-- before it is off again, and faster. If the other books are snapshots of the world, this one is a hint at the gears.

Excellent fluff for mediocre crunch.

Running the shadows isn't easy in the future world of high tech and low life. We're used to seeing things from the POV of the shadowrunner, but this novel gives us a story from the perspective of a 'Mr Johnson', the intermediary between the runners and their employers. The old saying is that "It isn't a shadowrun until your Johnson screws you twice". Mr Johnson doesn't like it very much when someone hangs him out to dry. Great story!
