About the Author
Annette Francine resides in the metropolitan Phoenix area. After writing romantic suspense intended for traditional publishers, but discovering she couldn’t suppress the Christian themes and understories persisting in her books, she fully subjected herself to the direction of her muse. While she hopes her readers find her stories both encouraging and uplifting, in order to depict “realistic” characters and situations, and also stay true to the types of stories to be told, her characters do not always portray and should not be expected to reflect good examples of Christian beliefs, behaviors, nor her own attitudes. It is important to the author to help others and improve the circumstances of those in need. At least half of the proceeds from her novels are donated to Samaritan’s Purse, Care, St Mary's Food Bank, and/or reputable Veterans’ assistance organizations.

To start off, this is one of the most creative non-paranormal, non-scifi, non-fantasy nor fairytale fictional romance stories I have ever read...and I have read a lot of books. The characters were well thought out and their discription had me visualizing them without ever seeing one picture of them. The setting and location for each scene was beautifully discribed being to where I almost felt as though I was there with the characters. It was a wonderful new take on 'I hate you, but wait, I just may love you'. There where several twists and turns and so many feelings flowing that I got mad, sad and excited right along with the characters. Excellent job Annette Francine! I can't wait to find out what will happen in 'Eyes of a Stranger', as I am starting on that now.

Eyes of a Stranger
Francine captures the quirkiness of life in such a distinct setting with lovely descriptions, interwoven with thrilling suspense, complex character development, and riveting sexual tension. The drama culminates in fantastic action scenes, leaving the reader breathless. Hero Bryce is a compelling concoction of tortured soul in a hot bod, while heroine, Kendall, is a believable and sympathetic good girl. Her mistakes show she is flawed, not hypocritical, and her reactions are reasonable, not holier-than-thou.
Looking forward to more from Annette Francine!
I was especially happy with the ending. While it was anticipated (it is a romance novel after all) it guarantees nothing, leaving this story open for perhaps a sequel... Or two. I hope.
