This is a very thorough history of burger joints - pretty much all of them - but not much of a cookbook. I'm disappointed.
Unless you're interested in the back story of Shake Shack, look elsewhere for a great burger cookbook.
I like the Chef Collab section with some interesting takes on burgers (David Chang). I also enjoyed learning more about the Shake Shack story.
I'm not trying to dig in more than the book really is. Overall, some good recipes and and entertaining read.
