Having lived and traveled in New Mexico for over five years, I visited most of the places the author describes, including the Hopi Mesas. McCoy successfully portrays the high energy of those special areas that will haunt your reading. He provides a necessary reminder of the vigilance needed to thwart evil on all levels.
Despite all of this and any lost sleep, I found the story a positive view of life. Intrigue, the FBI, murders and a shaman awakening to his powers and his psychic abilities all help to create a rich atmosphere that makes it difficult to put the book down once begun. The exciting story catches the enchantment as well as the dark side of Native American traditions.
The importance of dreams emerges as we watch characters walk into dreams and influence the action in their own and others’ sleep. The work in Dreamscape opens us up a new level of awareness as we learn to honor both night and day, darkness and light, and begin to see the world through different eyes to ensure a better future.
