Excellent story!!!! It shows Shang Chi trying to live a normal life. However, like all heroes trying to escape their past and live a ordinary life, he can't. Regardless, the story is not a cliche, it has a lot of twist and turns, with incredible martial art fights, along with a satisfying story that involves family and friends. That's all I can say without spoiling this masterpiece!
I loved the boys of culture familiar to American born Chinese and our families. The story felt so familiar with its strong emphasis on Chinese family. More please!

As someone who remembers this character’s Bruce Lee / MI5 roots, it’s still a nice evolution to the 21st century. A bit ham-fisted linking it to manga (loveable big oaf and snotty tween sidekicks) and the MCU references to Dr. Strange (Kamar Taj), but enjoyable overall.

The collection is good for any body to read. Whether you have read shang chi before or this is the first time. Creates a story rich in Chinese lore without overly explaining. Gives the reader a little back story but moves it forward. I wish to read more because I now am connected to the characters and want to read what is next
I liked this book. I was not blown away by it but I did enjoy it. Good artwork and a good story. I have always like Shang-Chi but I did feel he was a bit underused.
Shang-Chi has tried his best to escape his fathers corrupting influence, not he is dragged back onto the family business with some some sibling wanting him dead other wanting him to accept his destiny. However is that a good thing?
The series has enough action to keep me interested, but I did really like the story. I think ofvyge first volume is anything to go by it will make a very interesting series.
