Full disclosure. I'm a newer fan. The only reason I know of Ruston is that I'm a fan of Kacey. I figured, let's check this guy out. Best decision I've made in a long time.
What I can say is this is possibly the most hauntingly beautiful album I've ever heard. Raw, real and unique. I normally couldn't care less about lyrics, but these songs just pull me in.
He slowly been releasing singles during covid, and they have got me thru some tough times. This is the perfect calm, sad, happy, chill, laid back album with real emotion. Filled with hope for better times. No filler, all killer.
My only complaint is I cannot get through the song "brave" without full out bawling. It gets kinda embarrassing at the construction site in front of the guys.
