Hero: Hey you are my mate.
Hero: Good you accept. Lets do it.
It was bad. I am sorry but it could have been written better. The hero keeps wanting to drop her off and leave her. He finally does and the only reason he comes back is because his animal forces him too. He makes no declaration of love and is pretty blah about telling her why he came back. He is like dry humping her and she is just so blah and accepts everything. There is more chemistry between H2O than these two. I forced myself to finish it. It finally picks up....at the very end. I will not say it wasted my time because it was such as fast read. By time I realized it the story was over and I was left feeling cheated. Sorry, did not like it.
Title: Red and the Tiger
Series: Shifters Everafter
Designation: Book Two, Standalone Short, NO Cliffhanger
Author: Lola Kidd
My Rating: FIVE DELICIOUSLY CUTE STARS*****
What a delightfully sweet, completely unique and totally contemporary spin on another one of my favorite fairy tales. Leave it to Lola Kidd to deliver such a wonderful twist on the age old folktale of Little Red Riding Hood. I love it! Red and the Tiger is the second fun-filled story in an enchanting new series by Lola and I can hardly wait to see what else she has in store for us. These are all modern recreations of classics we all know and love and are all standalone short novellas which, of course in Lola's world, always have a happy ending! And as are all of Lola's books, this story is well crafted, well written and well edited. The narrative is written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view from our hero and heroine which gives us more insight into the characters and the development of the story, not that this story is complicated but it is certainly a sweet treat. It's also imaginative, original and totally enchanting. And the characters are just so engaging! You may think you know what happens because you've read the fairytale but you would be totally wrong. One thing I know for sure about Lola Kidd - always expect the unexpected and she has certainly delivered the unexpected with this tale. Wow! I can hardly wait to see which fairytale she has in store for us next!
Beautiful, sweet Suzy Redding has lived a very sheltered life, always confined to her hometown of Penicalla by her very conservative, overprotective and ever hovering mother, Cindy Redding. Suzy's father had been a real loser and abandoned her and her Mom before Suzy was even born so she could certainly understand her Mom having trust issues but it seemed her grandmother, Gran Redding, was just the opposite. Gran's quite the social butterfly with a serious gambling addiction and is always traveling around looking for her next poker game. Unfortunately, Gran's been gone 10 days this time and they've had no word at all from her. Oh no! She's been known to even travel to the Wasteland to gamble which is where all the shifters live and Suzy fears that she's gone to Rose Valley or Calico Junction for a gambling tournament. There's only one thing to do - Suzy must go find her grandmother. So, she gathers her cape, naturally it's red, and sets out on her journey to find Gran, only to become lost in the woods. And who should come along to rescue her but a handsome young shifter named Tyler Wolf. But Tyler Wolf is no good samaritan and he's not even a wolf. What? Oh no, he's a tiger! Oh my! He's in the forest waiting to meet a woman who is a client in a new business venture between him and the Ganjis, the gang that controls Calico Junction, and he's to guide her through the Wasteland for a booty call with a shifter. Huh? Oh yes, Tyler's quite the entrepreneur! Unfortunately, he mistakes Suzy for the client because she's wearing a red cape, and Suzy allows him to believe the lie so that he will guide her to Rose Valley to find her grandmother but when Tyler discovers the truth, he can't get rid of the lovely young woman fast enough. He wants no part of the curvaceous little human. The only thing Tyler wants is to earn some quick cash so he can get out of Rose Valley. He doesn't want a mate and he certainly doesn't want to settle down. Apparently he forgot to tell his tiger the plan because his tiger not only wants Suzy, it seems he's determined to have her - no matter the consequences. Oh my goodness! Will Suzy be able to find her grandmother? Will Tyler's tiger find his mate? We'll see! Buckle up my lovelies - here we go again! Absolutely delightful! Just the cutest stories ever!

Suzy Redding is a overly protected girl who has never stayed anywhere outside of her home, other than at her grandmothers house because of an over protective mother. At any rate Suzy's grand mother is missing and not answering her cell phone so Suzy decides to head out and brave the Wastelands because she heard that her grand mother was there gambling. After being lost in the woods for hours Suzy finally runs into a shifter who mistakes for someone else. Scared and out of options Suzy lies to shifter in order to get him to help her.
Tyler Wolf is a tiger shifter who has had many people making fun of his name Wolf and he is a tiger shifter. He catches a break and has decided to work for a local gang with his rat friend in order to start a new life outside of his shifter town of Rose Valley. Even though his first assignment goes wrong Tyler decides he cannot leave Red on her own, he decides to help her anyway. There is no way he can leave an innocent girl to fend for herself, and plus his tiger has taken a interest in Red.
No more about the book. Don't want to spoil it for you. Read it as I am sure you will not be disappointed.
