Sharing Harper was a fabulous debut book. I finished the book in one day. This is an amazing story! The characters are completely believable, and the story was very well thought out. It would have been perfect if Ryder and Harper's romantic relationship had been expanded on, rather than, I felt rushed in the first few chapters.
"...sometimes we love someone so much that it hurts to love them. Sometimes it's unexplainable why someone walks into your life. Most of the time it's at a moment where we desperately aren't looking for someone to save us, but they happen to understand that deep down we need someone to share a life with."
Harper and Ryder's relationship is turbulent. Two people equally flawed who are struggling to find themselves. Ryder works in a coffee shop where he sees Harper for the first time. Ryder recently left a relationship and lost his family. Harper vows never to get close to a man, she suffered a very abusive childhood and is still plagued by nightmares. Can Harper and Ryder learn to work through their issues and give love a chance?
"If you keep falling, I'll have to keep picking you up, Harper."
If you are looking for a book that warms your heart, with raw emotion and reminds you that love conquers all. This is the book!
I can't wait for the 2nd series.
Kudos to V. Murphy
Ryder is sweet and amazing from the start. You also get this dominant alpha side if him that is crazy hot. Harper is a great non-whiny woman though she has a right to be at times. Harper had a lot to overcome and her past haunts her everyday. Ryder has a past as well and when all the secrets come pouring out there is love, passion and steam. I loved how intense the pull was between Harper and Ryder. The fact that they both had things in their pasts that they didn't share with anyone. Especially Harper, she told no one not even her best friend. The pull she feels for Ryder wow it was intense and therefore she trusted him with her past.
Though there were a few minor typos I wasn't concerned although I know there are grammar nazis who would drop stars severely over this I won't. Though, after the fact I have since been emailed by amazon.com with an updated version of the book. The story line is great and cannot wait for book two. There is so much more that can play out and I cannot wait to see where the story line goes from here.
Even the most confident put-together person you know has their past. Not all are dramatic, but we all have something we keep to ourselves. The question is: when do you trust the person you love with that long held secret and shame?
Harper Mae and Ryder Andrew Kent are so perfect for each other. Unfortunately, they both have trust issues, especially Harper. This was a sweet story of two people each haunted by their own pasts. This is a story of finding each other and learning to trust each other and themselves.
This book had a great plot and using Harper's dreams to give us the background story was an unique device. The scenes are well developed. The only major drawback was the editing. Some of the sentences just didn't have the flow they should have had.(My favorite mistake was "Ryder was sitting there baring his sole to me...")
Finished book 2 and it's so much better, don't rule this series out!
I love Skye; that best friend that tells it like it is, is so fun!
Only recommendation is there were lots of errors. If your looking for help, please let me know! I enjoy editing books!

Both very broken, both hiding deep secrets, both victims of getting involved with wrong people.
Skye, Harpers best friend, a bubbly fun, outgoing and outrageous girl. Really looked out for her friend, she was there for Harper without asking questions. Harper needs to be open and honest with her.
They begin a relationship with a 'non-date', where Harper bares her soul and past secrets, that was one highly emotional charged evening, resulting in a heartfelt union between them both. We learn about Harper being abused by the one person she thought loved her, and also how her parents had abandoned her in her time of needs, she had the love and support of her grandpa, who she had unfortunately had lost. They go back to a hotel, and have a great evening, their sex scenes were really passionate and very hot! Ry was also very tender and caring, but this gives Harper confusing signals.
She wakes up alone again, to find he left already, rushing back for Evelyn, but we don't know what her significance is yet.
Harpers friends convince her to not run as per usual, going against everything she has set her mind on securing her future, she goes to Ry's place of work to confront him, only to find him with another woman, after sitting watching, Harper finally gets up and gives him a big slap, then runs again before giving him a chance to explain.
So she decides to run again, only to be given some hone truths, which make her sees things differently, she finally decides she is done running, listens to Ry's explanation, making it the best decision she's made. We learn that Evelyn is his daughter, although we may have already come to that conclusion. He tells her how he came to find out about the baby, and how he hurt his knees and his blooming football career.
Finally Ryder and Harper are going to start their journey together, with Harper meeting with his daughter. Looking forward to finding out what happens next
common and all too horrific.
Harper is a victim of severe abuse, and has built her walls of defense strong and high. She gets attached to no man and uses them for sex but never forms any kind of relationship.
Ryder also has deep issues, but his issues come out slowly which keeps your curiosity on edge, almost till the end of the book.
They meet at a coffee shop and from that point Harper's life starts to change. She questions herself more and starts to face up to her past and come to terms. It takes her a while to accept that its Ryder and her feelings for him that are starting to change her and eventually she realises that she wants to love and be loved and she wants to trust.
I enjoyed this story, although it was a relatively short read, it kept interest throughout! I was going to say on this review that i was looking forward to more, but i see the second book is already available so .... I'M OFF TO READ MORE !!!!!!!!!!!
GUESS I LIKED IT :o)
