This double album is better than the Message album (found elsewhere on Amazon) because you get three things: more songs, better quality songs, and Sambora on vocals on multiple tracks. Sambora's playing is so much better on these discs than on the earlier Message albums, but obviously not yet to the level he'd be playing on Bon Jovi I and 7800 Fahrenheit. If anything, these discs reinforce the greatness of the band Bon Jovi- the blending of Richie and Jon's songwriting. By the way, Jon, whose early demo Powerstation Years, is nowhere near the work of (or enjoyable) than these two Shark Frenzy discs.
The tracks Richie Sambora sings on: Southern Belle (best song on the album! This song alone is worth the purchase), A Good Life, I Need Your Love
Some fun rocking tracks to note: Live Fast…, The Ones with Angel Eyes
Some softer more sentimental tracks: Nobody, I'll Play the Fool
Two Beatles covers: Birthday and Golden Slumbers (both well done), the latter with an outstanding lead solo.
With a totally 70s rock sound, this is a band that could have been produced in the right direction, but obviously had a different fate.
