This player has been much better than my more expensive LG. Faster to start the movie with great picture quality. I did have wifi problems as it seems to be weak or defective, but I hardwire anyways, so didn't spend too much time on this. The latest updated did speed up the internet apps for me, but with so many devices now that are connected that have Netfix, etc. I don't use them. Ex. Wii, PS3, Xbox, Mediacenter, Roku. If you are looking for internet apps then look away from any TV or Blu-ray player, and go with Roku or other similar device. It will be faster and have more choices.

If you are looking for a DVD player with a good feature set including MHL then this is a great player. Again very fast to start movies and the video and sound quality have also been very good.

Giving a Blu-ray player bad reviews due to speed of internet apps is not all that fair, as it is a BLURAY player 1st and foremost. And this player does that very very well.

Almost forgot. The menu is great. It is not as fancy as the LG, and can look a little bland, but it is blazing fast and easy to navigate. So many manufacturers have tried to make things look pretty that I forgot how fast things can be when you forgo all that. My LG was very sluggish when in the menus. Very well laid out, too. I highly recommend this Blu-ray player for playing...well...blu-rays. If you are looking for an internet app player then go with Roku.

The boot time on this DVD player is a bit slow however it generates a fantastic picture in either DVD/BlueRay or BlueRay 3D with my Sharp Aquos TV. I purchased this because Sharp recommended it as a compliment to the TV and it works great. It is also nice using the TV remote to control this DVD player so I don't always have to go searching for 2 remotes.

I was using a sumsung blue ray and recently purchased a sharp LED LC LE857U TV.I did not want to have to use a separate remote for each one. I purchased a refurbished Sharp Bdams2OU 1080p 3D Blu-Ray Disc Player from Good as New Electronics on amazon marketplace. I received the player within 2 days and it was very easy to setup including wirelessly . the player looks brand new just as the seller advised. I would definitely purchase from this company again. I am also impressed how much better the picture looks than my Samsung.

I bought this on sale at Fry's Electronics for $99. When I saw this Blu-ray player that had features such as 3D Blu-ray support, Netflix, Youtube, Pandora & came with the wireless LAN adapter I thought it was a no brainier. When I set this up at home & connected to the WiFi I noticed that Netflix & YouTube would run very slowly. So Slow in fact that they were useless. It was not a network issue since I have no issues with my PC that is connected even further away via WiFi. I tried to update the firmware but currently as of 6/20/2012 there was no new updates. As for playback I only tested one Blu-ray and that seemed to play back correctly with no issues. I had checked Amazon before for reviews but this product had none I wish I would have known that it had the slow online issues before I bought it. I plan on returning it tomorrow and trying out a different model even if it cost more and doesn't support 3D Blu-ray. I want one that works correctly with online features such as Netflix & Youtube. I don't have anything against Sharp products being that I am very happy with my 42" Sharp LCD which I purchased back in 2007 but this player I am disappointed and am going to give it only two stars because it failed to provide the feature that I planned to use the most being Netflix.

I have had this player for about 2 months. The player side of it works great the only downfall is it does not resume play you will have to fast forward but that's ok. It plays my dvd r-rw perfect which most these day do not. The smart side of it is good the only downfall I see is I do have to re enter my wireless information more than id like. The menu is plain and that's ok it does have Pandora under the apps menu and all apps work well as well as Netflix and Vudu. Overall great player for the money !!

I have had this player for a few months now. These are my thoughts. When watching certain DVDs like Buffy and Sex and the City, I get this stuttering that happens frequently with the video however sound is ok. If you turn the player off even when viewing a DVD it does not resume. Instead, I have to restart from the beginning including all warnings, loading time, previews and menus. My 4 year old Sony S550 will even resume. The wireless is absolutely horrible. I don't have netflix but I did try to load it up once or twice and after about 5 minutes it still was not loaded. If I didn't get this player for free I would have returned it and gotten myself a Sony that I know works well. Youtube will load but won't find anything or load videos.

The item was received as promised by the shipper;however, I have nothing but misgivings about the product: 1. The machine would hang up about 2/3ds of the movie (not copies) as if it had a blockage. 2. I contacted the Sharp support four times and was talked thru the same reset procedure each time.3. On the 1st contact (I had sent in the registration card when purchased) I was disconnected while she looked for the purchase date. 4. The waiting time for a contact was about 5 minutes average. 5. I was told that my report would be given to a tech and someone would contact me within 48 hours. 6. After the last one I waited 10 days before I called again (no contact). 7. I finally used a head cleaner and it seems to have erased the problem. The last lady I contacted after my 10 day wait did send me a ticket to ship the unit for maintenance. The unit has a long access time for engaging the play of the disk. It causes about a $100.00 dollars more than other players. The Wi-fi took forever to set up and it is not built in(requires a usb plug in). My reason for purchasing this unit was that I have a sharp TV and I was tired of changing remotes, every time I wanted to watch a movie. In Summary if I had to do it again, I would probably change TVs.
