The pen made my 2 year old tires look new again no directions for use so do three coats and let dry 1-2 hours in between acetone can be used for any mess you make or a exacto knife to scrape any excess off when it's dry.

Good idea, poor execution.

If you could look at my purchase history you would see that I have ordered A LOT of sharpie paint markers (I have to own well over 20 right now, not including ones that I have used that ran out of ink) mainly for designing and painting projects. When I saw that they made Extra Fine tipped I bought one immediately, however after using it I'm not sure if I will again.

The Pros :
- Fine tipped can be useful for making thin detailed lines

the Cons :
- After pressing the tip down a couple times to get it to absorb more ink it pours out from the entire tip and not just the point (where its supposed to)
- It blobs very easily and unless you're very careful it will drip when you try to get the tip to absorb more ink
- Ink disbursement can be somewhat random, so if you're drawing a line it will not come out then will suddenly have too much come out and may even drip.

I use the Paint Markers on a regular basis and have owned a lot of them pretty much in every color, if the extra fine tipped paint markers worked as they should I would buy a ton of them, however I will continue to use the one I have and hope it doesn't blob and ruin what I'm working on.

I won't be ordering an extra fine tipped one again.

Paint pens for furniture, fantastic!

These pens are tricky, not going to lie. But they work amazingly well for certain projects involving hard surfaces. Softer surfaces the tip can't depress fully, therefore not doing its intended job. If you understand this, then it will work great for you. It is not a marker, the tip needs to be depressed into the canister to soak up the paint. Shake it well, like all paints this is a necessary step. For those comparing that it doesn't work for their fabric projects, it is NOT a fabric paint, don't buy it if you think it is. That's what they make fabric paint for.

I refinish, antique and design a lot of furniture and large industrial art pieces, so everything I use it on is hard surfaced. This is where it really shines. The only problems I've had with them is sometimes you have to shake them for quite awhile, or depress the tip longer on certain ones. They do not all act the same.

Great Pen for almost everything what I wanted to do was Mark my canisters and what's in it and be able to change when I need to this is much easier than those stupid chalkboard labels and stays put until I want to remove it this is probably one of the best things that I've done to know what's in my canisters

Terrible pens, avoid.

I bought a few of these for work. They are terrible. They have a flaw where the tip of the pen falls out. See picture. They are also very hard to write with as the tip retracts into the pen as you write. So, it's hard to apply even pressure when writing. Avoid these!

Shook it up, pressed the tip on a practice surface and a huge milky pool rushed out. I'd say, about one square inch before I quickly let up.
Once primed and with a light touch, it does the job. Writes a well defined line and, depending on the tip rating, perfectly legible. Again, with a light touch.
I should add that I've, only had use for the two smallest sizes so far.
