I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy Shatter! I bought the game on release day but it wasn't available on Amazon for some time. Once it was though I bought 2 other copies to give as gifts for friends. One of them never took the time to check out the game but he later thanked me because he realized I was right. Shatter is a really fun game, simple pick up and play. Him and his wife play it often when they don't feel like play something that needs a lot of time and dedication.

There's plenty of variety in the gameplay that honestly it's very hard to find a reason to be bored or make a complaint. You have standard rectangular levels with some bricks laid out in grids while other levels having completely unique layouts. There are various types of bricks too. Some explode, while others take multiple hits to break. Did I mention the game has boss levels? Crazy! They are great fun and some require a bit of thinking on how to beat. At the end of each boss fight you have a fun little bonus match where there are 3 balls that will fall down and you try to keep them in play for as long as possible. For each hit you make though the ball makes sharper turns to exit the level so it gets a lot harder! As you beat each world you can replay any of them for a higher score.

You can stream and purchase the soundtrack here: [...]. Trust me, bookmark that URL as once you buy and play the game you will love it!

With killer quality in all 3 departments: gameplay, graphics, and sound its pretty hard to believe this is just going to cost you $8. Seriously, if there is any PSN game you should own this is a must buy. There simply is no question about it. Case closed.

Absolutely breath-taking!!! I can't even describe how awesome of a game this is. The controls, visuals, music ... all of them simply can't be put together any better. Simple yet addictive gameplay, perfect for when you don't want to commit to your tv for hours trying to play a game. I've played all kinds of brickbreaker games... and this is by far the most impressive to date. Great job Sidhe, please make more awesome games :)

Shatter is a game that seemed to always be under the radar when it came to PSN Store games. Despite seeming to be under the radar Shatter brings plenty to the table at a fair price, making it a great game to own for PS3 users.

Shatter is basically a reboot of the Arkanoid series, just taken to a whole new level. What you have is arkanoid going horizontal, vertical and even circular. Throw in an amazing sound track, great graphics for the kind of game it is, the ability to control the movement of the ball, multi-ball play, and boss battles... you have yourself a winner here.

The game consists of 8 worlds and each contains a boss at the end that requires some sort of gimmick to beat him, which will test your skills at keeping the ball in play. Once you get fairly good at the game the 8 worlds might feel a little short, but that is why the game comes equipped with 2 alternative game modes.

- Boss Rush: You fight only the bosses and are timed.
- Bonus Mode: Where you attempt to score as high as you can by playing only 3 bonus rounds

The game tracks your score for both a full play through and for each world and proudly displays them to tease those obsessed with besting their High-Score. The game also comes equipped with 15 Bronze and 3 Silver trophies.

OVERALL (91.6%)
I would recommend this game for anyone who was a fan of the Arkanoid series, or for the casual gamer looking for a change of pace. The game takes up a small footprint on my system (194 MB) and has a phenomenal sound track!! Shatter is worth the price of admission and is a game that you can come back to time and time again whenever the mood to destroy rogue blocks strikes.

Sound/Music: 10/10 (amazing soundtrack!)
Gameplay: 8.
