I like the kit! Not so much interested in the after-shave balm, but all the other items in the kit worked very well. I have read some reviewers complaints that the shaving brush started to shed. That was not my experience, other than one or two strands that came off the first time I used it. The others remained in place and the brush, the cream and the shaving cup work very well.

One thing though - the directions caution you to use very little of the soap (more like a cream) because it's concentrated. THAT IS TRUE! Only use about the size of an almond, put that in the cup, run hot water on the shaving brush for about 20 or 30 seconds to get the bristles hot, then lather up. The soap really expands.

One really good thing I liked was that after the first shave, if I wanted to go back for some beard growth that was stubborn there was still plenty of soap on the brush. Just quickly pass it through some hot water and the lather will still be there.

I can recommend this without reservation. Good product for the money spent.

I was looking for a safety razor kit and the price compared to others on amazon is amazing and fairly priced... I gave a rating of 4 because of the blades that come with the kit... I read from other reviewers that the blades were bad right from the start of the shave. I have to agree the blade was scraping my face and this is not my first time shaving with a safety razor, also not even half way through the save the blade went dull.

All in all, this is a great product with a great sent. The razor handle is balanced weight for a good shave... if the seller would consider switching out the blades for better ones, I do believe that the out the box experience of shaving for individuals that have shaved with a safety razor before would have a top-notch shaving experience and probably would come back to buy more blades if the seller offered a different brand of blades of refill than what currently come with the kit.

As I said, all the other items in the kit are top notch for the price point and that is why I choose four stars for the overall rating. The junk blades shouldn't be a factor to keep anyone from buying this product, because in the long run, the blades have to be replaced so, it really shouldn't be a breaking point of deciding factor towards buying this product.

Watching a bunch of videos on YouTube got me interested in trying out DE razors for shaving my head. This kit is just good and cheap enough to see if DE is the right fit for you. The handle isn't the greatest, i find myself having to tighten it a least once per shave. All of the topicals smell amazing, I like smelling the sandalwood throughout the day. I recommend that you watch a few tutorials before attempting shaving with a DE razor.

At first glance, the product seems great as far as value for the money but about a month in, the razor has rusted, so it had to be thrown away, which defeats the purpose of switching over from disposable razors. At first I left a negative review of this product, because I was so angered at having my face ripped apart by the terrible blades. I stick to my assertion the blades in the pack are awful, however the shaving brush and shaving cream are lovely and the smell of the sandalwood in the products I love and so does my wife. At first I believed the sent faded over the day, but I think it is just my nose accustoming to it as my wife says she can still smell it on me late in the day. I suggest if you buy this for the shaving cream, aftershave brush etc and accept that you will need to through away the blades and buy some decent blades, you will not be disappointed, don’t do what I did and try and shave with the included blades, or it will sour you experience and that would be a shame.

I got this set as present for my boyfriends 21st birthday as he is in the army and is required to shave every day. When the present turned up I opened it all to inspect it and was disappointed to see the outside box was ripped and bashed up and this was still with the plastic covering on it (first picture still has the plastic cover on it). I then proceeded to take the plastic cover off and check on the items inside to find the boxes these were in were all scratched up, normally this wouldn’t be an issue for me as I only care about the products themselves but with it being a birthday present I was disappointed that it turned up in this condition (pictures attached of damage). This being said my boyfriend absolutely loved the kit and uses it all the time so all in all pretty happy with the product itself. Would of been 5 starts however due to the damage of the packaging it’s only 4 but would still highly recommend this item.

I couldn't believe how cheap and nasty this product actually was.
The blades are terrible, they blunt very easily, the so called scent of the shaving cream is vile, and the pre oil is just useless. Was very easy to cut myself using this shaver and thats not something I've done in a long time. Mainly the blades are too flimsy to give you a safe enough shave so you're more likely to cut yourself using them. The holder was really bad as well, and having to keep twisting the thing to make sure the blades stayed in place was so annoying.
The after shave balm made my skin feel like it was burning so had to wash that off pretty quickly as I didn't want any skin issues.

Overall it seems like this is just a cheap shaver made to look expensive but when you actually use it you find it so bad the only good place for it is the bin.

Idea and salesmanship along with reviews looked great. Razor itself has a short tightening range and will keep unlikely last long. Blades supplied are so dull that I could not shave half of my face before having to grab my standard razor. The combination of pre-shave oil and cream created a scent similar to someone having been sick. Apron and travel bag are pretty useless to anyone bar a backpacker heading to China to return the product. Steer clear and buy a standalone razor for more money.
