Tasha C. Miller is a self-taught, self-represented artist of both impactful images and wondrous words. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Detroit, her literary and art journey began when she was just a child. Tasha returned to her hometown to attend Pratt Institute and studied architecture. She then received her B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing from Harvard University. Tasha currently lives, loves, works, and plays in Brooklyn, New York.

Tasha is what most would call a serenely introverted and karmically indifferent writer. From a young age, she was fascinated by the tragic and felt compelled to write about it. She blames daytime soap operas for supplying her with that first taste of infinite despair. Since that time, she has written to experience a sort of high that caresses all of the senses and the soul itself.

Tasha's short fiction has appeared in the anthology Longing, Lust, and Love: Black Lesbian Stories and Saints & Sinners 2011: New Fiction from the Festival. Her debut novel, She Wants Her was a finalist for The Saints and Sinners Emerging Writer Award. She Wants Her Too is its sequel. I'm really blown away. I read ALOT of books but this one checked all of the boxes for me. It gave enough information and background. Was spicy enough and made me feel many emotions and relate to the characters. There was just enough conflict in and out of the relationship. Well done !!!

This wasn't a page turner for me, BUT it still kept me interested. I had split feelings for every character in this book. I'd start off liking them, then they'd flip on me lol. It seemed that everyone was a bit crazy but to me that made them real people, because no one is perfect. Which brings me to Cleo, who didn't seem flawed, at all. I have to agree with the other readers, nobody is that irresistable. I would have at least liked to see her get rejected once and I probably would have connected with her more. On the other hand, she did have her issues with commitment and not really having family. She seemed to be a good person with a great heart even when she was breaking hearts constantly. The title is everything this books is. "She wants her." Everybody wanted somebody in this book. The scenes with Shawn and Cleo were hilarious. I have to be honest and say I wasn't routing for Cleo and Jac, because although they "loved" each other, it seemed based more or sex than anything else. I would have like to have seen more romance between them. I didn't fall in love with them as a couple until I got close to the end, where Jac walks in on Cleo crying over her mother. They had me from there. I felt their connection. Oh, and the way they met (and the dialougue) was so cheesy, but soooooo cute at the same time. I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff. There are some parts where I was a bit confused with the dialogue and the she's and hers, even a few name errors, but I figured it out. The timelines moved really quickly without warning, which made the transitioning kind of rough. I was like wait its been two years?! lol I really hope there is another part to this book because I still have many questions with the way that it ended, but all-in-all I really enjoyed it. For a first time publication this was really good. I'd read more from this author!

I know that some of the reviewers stated that the story was somehow unbelievable, but I have to strongly disagree. Some said it was an unhealthy obsessive relationship, and agree with that to a certain extent. The way I viewed the relationship of Cleopatra and Jacqueline was as a very intense and a very deep love at first sight kind of love. The connection on Jacqueline's part came prior to the first meeting and Cleopatra's came at the first meeting. It is a story of first true love and all the mistakes we can make when we first find it. I agree that the way Jacqueline went about it could be viewed as unbelievable, but there are many people who have chosen a relationship over their children. I can't say that Jacqueline is one of them. I completely fell in love with both of these characters and was jealous of their completely hot and erotic sex life lol. Miller is a great writer and the book was easy to read and follow. I hope we get to see more of these characters and I hope we get to see more from Miller in general....enjoy I sure did.

So, this is the first review I’ve done in a while, but I felt obliged to let some of my thoughts be known. First, I’ve never read anything like this book before. Yes, while some of the drama and situations this couple went through were completely convoluted, they were realistic, if that makes sense?
This book legit put me through motions. So much so, that halfway through this book, well like 60%, I threw my iPad down and emailed the author. Like, I was angry. I quickly got over it, and finished reading it.
It. Was. Everything.
I’m gonna start the second one right TF now.

This was a great story and an easy read. After reading many other similar books, I could hardly contain my excitement at how ell-written this novel was. There were no glaring misspellings, omission of words, incorrect word choices, or mixed up verb tenses!. I'd become so accustomed to auto-correcting mistakes, that I was trying to do so at first. I had to make myself stop trying to correct errors that weren't even there.

As much as I enjoyed the grammatical correctness, I also enjoyed the story itself immensely. I'm a romantic at heart and love happily ever after stories. This read was a great escape. I liked it so much so that I finished it in less than 24 hours! Excellent job Tasha C. Miller. I look forward to reading more of your work in the future!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this book from just reading the first page. Before I purchased the book I read reviews on Amazon about it, and all of the reviews were positive. Tash C. Miller did her thing. The book was well written, the characters were well developed. I love the fact that the book had so many layers to it, Love, lust, desire,betrayal, family, Friendship and so much more to finish. The only thing I will say Jacqueline and Celopatra's story is definitely not over, there are still some unanswered questions and things going on that Jacqueline doesn't know about Celopatra. If you are a lesbian you should definitely puck this up and a it to your collection. I just read she is coming out with a sequel this year I can't wait.
