Great story - and so nice to read another story in the A Wolf's Hunger collection of stories that is about a female Alpha and not a male one. It was nice to have a slightly different slant on the story which made it less formulaic and not a wolf or human for the soul-mate. It was well written and I could feel and empathise with the story as it unfolded. Loved it.
I really liked that Sheba was the first female alpha in this group of stories. Due to this miracle she is afraid the pack will see her as weak when she starts to experience weird hunger , feelings and vision. Add in a bunch of rouges and her already filled plate is overflowing. Fox is a Lion, a loner and moving from place to place works for him, when he is attacked by rouges he questions alerting the area alpha or just moving on. Interspecies mating's are not readily excepted but a soul mate can not be denied. Each story in this series is interesting, entertaining and has great characters. Seeing how the characters deal with the "Hunger" myth and the quest to find their soul mate is always exciting. When it happens to a supporting character from one of the stories it makes it more fun. Fox and Sheba were mentioned in a previous story and I am glad I got to see how they came together.
I volunteered to read this story for my honest opinion.
What happens when you've fought for the right to be the first female Alpha and fate decides to send you a mate ?
When the Hunger strikes her, Sheba is shocked to find out what it means and is certainly not willing to take on a mate, not when she's worked so hard to gain her position, what if her potential mate can't accept her Alpha role ? then she'll send him packing that's what, fate be dammed even if it means her sanity !
But once she meets Fox can Sheba really fight what the goddess has sent her ?
The way in which Sheba and Fox meet for the first time leaves you in no doubt about his capabilities. An unusual pairing but most defiantly a perfect match and the description of Fox's shifter side conjures a breathtaking image.
I'm loving this multi-author series.
The Wolfs Hunger - it can't be stopped
When the dreams about a Lion start, she really thinks she is losing the plot! With renegades knocking on her door she really doesn't have time to go find her mate but a girls got to do what a girls gotta do!!!!
A Wolf's Hunger is a great series and I love all the differing authors vibes whilst staying within the same world. Nice to have a girl in charge too!
Ava doesn't disappoint. This is an excellent addition to the box set Magic Unleashed.
Just like the perfect book this one keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time because you don't know what is going to happen next. The book was worth the read all the way to the end. The end had to be my favorite it could not have been any more perfect.
Until Next Time... Tabi
I read this book in the "Magic Unleashed" box set. No one asked me to write this review, I just couldn't help myself.
