"Funny, gut wrenching, and inspiring--a great read." -- Greg Reid, speaker, filmmaker and author of Think and Grow Rich, Three Feet from Gold
"Bernadette Boas really puts herself out there to help other women succeed where she didn’t. Her openness and vulnerability in Shedding the Corporate Bitch was moving."
-- Gail Evans, author of Play Like a Man, Win Like a Woman
"I love Bernadette's message that to be successful you don't need to be anything more than who you are right now. Authenticity matters."
-- Dr. Paula Fellingham, CEO, The Women's Information Network (The WIN)
"Bernadette Boas takes a hard look in the mirror and discovers insights that she now shares with us in black and white for others to learn from. Most important, because Bernadette has been there, done that, you will have first-hand, "up close and personal" real world experience that can only be had by the trial and error method of the school of hard knocks. I highly recommend her new book for the successful businesswoman inside all of us!"
-- Linda Wind, CEO, Wind Enterprises and Founder, Wind Foundation for Women and Emerge! Scholarships, formerly The Possible Woman Foundation Intl.
"Thank you, Bernadette, for your vulnerable authenticity, that reveals the healing necessary in any leader--male or female, who wants to lead with integrity. After decades of helping businesses transform to get results they did not even think possible, it is clear it is this deep inner work that is at the core of powerful results."
-- Roxanne Emmerich, author of Thank God Its Monday!: How To Create a Workplace You and Your Customers Love, and CEO of The Emmerich Group, Inc.
"Shedding the Corporate Bitch deals with the very real issues that women have faced to achieve success in business. Ms Boas's revealing insights will prove invaluable for anyone who has struggled with compromising their own identities in order to gain acceptance and beat the odds to achieve success."
-- Patrick Smyth, CEO, business navigator and author of Elephant Walk: Business and Brand Strategy for the Long haul, and Powering the Wave: A Simplified System to Build and Manage a Business

Buy this book if you are stressed on your job, not having fun anymore, and need to improve your relationships. We must first start with ourselves.
This author bravely takes us all on her very personal journey. She shares with the reader a series of steps and realizations, as she recognizes a needed change from who she had become, and her new found purpose. Through this evolution of sorts, she examines how bad attitudes and actions once kept her from being her true self, and how a job loss changed everything, and set her free. This disruption in the flow allowed her to reach within and find the person hidden, the one pushed to the back and nearly forgotten. Her authentic self.
This is a book that hit home for me. I believe other women will also feel enlightened as it brings many darkened areas of a woman's path into a crystal view. Well worth the read as she shares and allows the reader to draw from her experience, self examination, and important learned truths. Thumbs up from me all the way and highly recommended to other women who think climbing that all important ladder out shadows what really matters in life.
All of that said, I think this book provides an excellent opportunity for people to suss out their own bitch and get the inspiration and know-how to get rid of her for good! There were wonderful nuggets throughout the book, but when I got to that last chapter and was engrossed in Bernadette's collaborative spirit, all I could think was, I want this to be me!
This book wasn't what I was expecting, but I got so much more out of it because of that. Whether you are in a corporate position, or just in business in general, this is a must read book.
