Amie was starring in a theatre production the night she met Malik, who offered her 1/2 million dollars to fly with him to his country and put on the production of her life. She was to pretend to be his fiancée.
This fake engagement was to culminate in a fake wedding. Amie didn't realize the wedding wouldn't be so fake. Malik didn't realize she was just the understudy the night he met her.
Amie did a wonderful job of convincing Malik's family that she owned a large theatre in the U.S. and had lots of money. But as time went by, she began feeling guilty. She genuinely liked Malik's family, especially his mother. I couldn't put the book down and stayed up well past midnight finishing it. If you want to know how the plot ends, you definitely need to purchase this wonderful book, which has a HEA.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
Once she is there, the lines seemed a little blurred for her because she sees the people she is fooling are really good people. Oh what a dilemma she is in. Money or honesty, what a hard decision.
I enjoyed reading this book and Holly Rayner makes her books so lively and filled with the beauty of foreign lands and new characters. Holly brings a lovely story to life with her lush descriptions.
