Beth called Connor, whom she had briefly dated, and asked him to help her find a job as a private guard.
After a few weeks, Connor got her a private job in the small country of Al-Merindha with a sheikh, who was leader of the country after his father's recent death. So she became private guard to Sheikh Osman, Prince of Al-Merindha.
An attempt was made on Osman's life. Then both he and Beth were kidnapped, and their abductors started to torture Osman for his riches.
During her time as his private guard, Beth developed strong feelings for him, but was too professional to let him know. He had strong feelings for her, but likewise didn't feel like he could tell her.
Would Beth be able to free herself and save Osman, or was this the end of their lives? If they lived, would they admit their feelings?
Please buy The Sheikh's Tempted Protectress and learn their fate.
I have trouble putting down Holly Rayner's books, and this book was certainly no exception! It has a strong plot, with lots of unexpected twists. The characters have equally strong personalities, and some characters' behaviors were not what I expected.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
