Shipping wasn't super quick, but it got here in a reasonable amount of time. It looks brand new and like it's OEM. Popped it apart, put in the chip from my old busted fob, put in a new battery, and snapped it back together. Works as well as the old one. If you break your fob, and you usually do by cracking off one of the key loops, this is the easiest, cheapest way to fix it. No reprogramming needed. Good deal.

Let me explain... The shell comes on time and as advertised each and every time and it works. Just install you circuit board from the old one to the new one and you're good to go. The problem lies with my butter fingers. The dual plastic loop where the key ring fits though it susceptible to breaking/cracking whenever you drop your keys 1 too many times. I do not blame the seller for this one iota. I'm currently on my 3rd shell. The one I received from the dealership upon purchasing my truck and I bought 2 from Crystalcity-6662. Each time the dual loops break after continuous dropping. The one I'm using now has been dropped a time or two and one of the loops has cracked. I still have the remaining loop and once I drop my keys enough and that goes, I will be buying another one from Crystalcity-6662 once again.

This unit worked perfectly. I was able to take the old guts out of the broken remote and slipped them into this new one and was off and rolling in no time. This new one seems to work better than the old one because you get all new button keys. It was such a great deal I picked up two so now I have a spare for the future. I would defiantly buy from this company again. Sure beats going back to the dealer and paying a huge mark up for a new remote. Keep in mind this is just the outer shell so if you're remote is totally broken and won't even work out of the shell this is not going to help you. This is for when the little tabs that hold the remote onto your keychain which is what broke on mine or the outer shell is being taped together is broken then this little gadget is the ticket.

The only issue I have is that the loop where you put the ring on is not very sturdy and will wear out or break I wish it was made of metal. I find myself checking to make sure my keys are still attached. The fit however was great and the price acceptable. I had a locksmith out at the house and he buys these from Amazon and Ebay and sells them for $20 so I believe I got a good deal.

I recieved this about a week ago and was able to snap it together in minutes. Getting the old case apart was pretty easy, I used a little pry tool, similar to a butter knives to pop it apart. Once apart, all you have to do is move the chip to the new case and snap it together. So far no problems. The only thing I could see going wrong in the future is the key ring hole breaking off. This is what happened to my old one. Seems fairly strong but only time will tell.

This has to be the easier repair of all time. My wife's remote worked fine but the ear that connected it to her key ring cracked off. I found the exact model of repair case matching both the FCC # and model of vehicle by Googling it. I was pleasantly surprised by the low price and the free delivery at Amazon. I popped the old case apart to get the battery # which I had in stock. Four days later the case arrived and in less than 10 minutes from start to finish the new case was swapped and the problem resolved. Perfect and easy solution.

The key ring loop on my remote was broken, as well as the markings having worn off (it's a 2000 Ford). It only takes a few seconds to pry open the two remotes and put the guts from the old one into the new one.
Works like a champ.
