Unleashed Love (Sheltered Love Book 1) by Jackie Marilla
WE COME AS A SET, ME AND ALL THESE MARVELOUS ANIMALS
I really enjoyed this sweet romance of second chances and all the wonderful animals involved at the shelter. Loman Cejka is a painter and has volunteered his time painting the no-kill shelter for free. He is divorced with two grown children who live out of state. Glenda Weber, a former RN, is a widow, having watched her surgeon husband have a seizure that took his life. She has two grown children out of state and to combat loneliness she is a volunteer at the no-kill shelter. This story impacts the lives of several people who meet by chance but have a mutual attraction and a love for animals. The plot kept me captivated with a great cast of characters, witty and honest dialog and lots of entertaining animals. Lots of emotions, some angst and a bit of interference help keep the pages turning on this delightful story.

EXPERIENCE THE TRUE MEANING OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
What a fun and exciting story, steeped in devotional, mystery, deceit, kidnapping, crime and the love of dogs. Faith Daniels has so much love to give animals and has created a unique foster home with plenty of room with state of the art housing.Read more ›
Glenda Weber is a volunteer at the Emily Van De Walle Animal Shelter in Cedar Grove, Iowa. She is has always loved pets but her deceased husband never did so she feels guilty with owning any animals so instead she volunteers her time.
Loman Cejka has volunteered his time painting the outside of the shelter and as soon as he sees Glenda he wants to get to know her better. When Glenda is put in charge of organizing the food booth from the 4th of July Celebration Loman immediately volunteers and the two begin to spend more time together.
But both have children and want their kids approval on their relationship. Will Loman's daughter approve or try and sabotage the relationship? Will an emergency be what it takes or will it be too late?
I really enjoyed this book and that it focused on adults who are looking for second chances in love. It's funny how we go from wanting our parents approval to then needing our kids approval before moving on. The book was very realistic with the doubts and concerns we all face when starting over!
Love's Always Paws-Able by Joanne Jaytanie

Jackie Marilla’s Unleashed Love Book 1 of the Sheltered Love series was such a great short read. When Glenda Weber starts working at the animal shelter after the death of her husband, she meets Loman Cejka in the break room. Loman is painting the exterior of the animal shelter and he very quickly becomes smitten with Glenda. Will they become friends or something more? I was smiling and cheering Glenda on through the whole book. I couldn’t put it down.
Love’s Always Paws-able
Joanne Jaytanie’s Love’s Always Paws-able Book 2 in the Sheltered Love series was very exciting to read. When wealthy Tanner Keen comes to the animal shelter to work as an executive director, strange things start happening. Faith Daniels, a dog rescue owner and animal shelter volunteer, starts noticing strange things happening too. Can they solve the crime? I really enjoyed having some of the characters from the last book involved in this new story. Being a mystery made Love’s Always Paws-able so much more enjoyable to read.
Angela Ford’s Love Again Book 3 in the Sheltered Love series was a joy to read. When Dr. Noah Felton comes to Iowa State University to teacher and help monitor his veterinary students at the animal shelter, he is ready for a change of scenery especially when the scenery is Madison Wilson. Divorced after thirty-five years of marriage, Madison is just getting her life back together. Will she love again or will she shy away from him out of fear? This book was so much fun and it ties into the characters of the other two stories in this series, which makes it even better. I love learning about all these characters lives.
