A definitive work on the laws of the Sabbath

This is a classic. It was a classic as soon as it was written. It defines the laws of the Sabbath so specifically that anyone who studies this work carefully can gain a thorough understanding of what is and isn't allowed on the Sabbath. The historical development of prohibitions and allowances are not discussed, but it does give a great overview of lots of specifics. If practical observance of the Sabbath is your goal, then this is THE book. If understanding the principles is your goal, then this is also a good choice, but you will need to supplement it with other books as well.
