Still, as the days pass, Trent’s surprising charm works past Jessie’s determination, and she finds promise in their budding relationship.

After opening up about the difficulties in her past, Jessie finds that Trent is guarding a dark tragedy of his own, one that might threaten their chance at a future together.

One of the best books I've read

I love all the books by Kimberly Krey, she has a way to make the characters so real to me through this book I felt like I was there. There were parts where I cried, laughed and cheered at the happily ever after.
Trent Lockheart moves to a small town in Wyoming to become the sheriff, he seems a little uptight and strict at first but as you get into the book you see why. Jessie owns and runs the B&B that was her grandmother's, she has seen a lot of hurt and upheaval in her life, she helps all those she can by doing fund raisers. Jessie and Trent meet when she is putting up flyers and he is pulling them down, it's instant dislike and aggravation for both of them as the story continues opinions change and they both see each other in a different light. I loved the way they came to understand each other, they are both holding things back.
Again these characters jumped off pages and seemed to come to live as I read

"The Sheriff's Bride" is another delightful book by Kimberly Krey! Ms Krey is very creative and a master storyteller. She has a grasp of human nature and a knowledge of language that is displayed by the way the characters in her stories come to life. She has the ability to paint vivid pictures in the reader's mind of the action in the story. Her recent book, "The Sheriff's Bride", is a great example of Ms Krey's creative ability to tell the story of two people, Trent and Jessie, who have resigned themselves to a single life but are drawn to each other despite the circumstances of their first meeting. The way the story plays out certainly demonstrates Ms Krey's understanding of human nature. I really liked the way Trent, the sheriff, finally realizes that he has to come to grips with an incident that occurred in the past and to forgive himself before he can move forward with his life. Ms Krey also fulfills her commitment to writing "romance that's clean without losing the steam." This is a very enjoyable book that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys reading books in this genre.

From the very first dynamic scene between Jessie and Trent I knew I would love this book. These two have sparks and attraction and I love how the author can show that they each had very viable reasons for their stance. I love this author's books and this one was no exception. The first chapter had me laughing out loud and it only got better.

You can't go wrong with Kimberly Krey. Trent and Jessie are a great couple with issues to overcome. The supporting characters are endearing too. Don't always love the non-communication road block but Krey's writing is strong and keeps you rooting for this awesome pair.
