Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the core values of integrity, respect and kindness were instilled in me since birth. According to author Sheryl WithanS, a Fortune 500 senior executive with nearly 40 years of leadership trials and triumphs, “a change of heart can change everything.” Now you can transform your organization with an enlightened leadership approach that inspires others to fulfill their highest potential!
It all began when a life-altering realization struck WithanS one fateful day as she hurled through space, 35,000 feet up on a flight en route to a corporate leadership evaluation: She had never fully identified her true self and had stopped dreaming. She was merely existing--with insanity! Guided by a moral and spiritual compass of compassion, WithanS reclaimed her personal power so she could empower others. Here she shares the wisdom gleaned from decades at the leadership helm to help you nurture your soul, establish your legacy, reignite your dreams, create motivating performance assessments, embrace individuality, and conduct purposeful meetings.
Using a series of easy exercises, she guides you through a three-step self-coaching process to define a different possibility and look at yourself in the mirror. Urging readers to “be the change you wish to see,” she designs actions that replace “insane behaviors” and illuminate the path from an egocentric, hierarchal approach to heartfelt, servant leadership. By exposing what she calls the “elephant in the center of the room,” she highlights the “12 Models of LBI” to present viable alternatives that support authentic, purpose-driven, leadership modalities.
This book is about reclaiming your life, discovering your true self, and choosing the path that propels you toward your higher purpose and passion. Featuring real-life scenarios from her career and a straightforward style refreshingly free of technical jargon, WithanS instills awareness of how insane behaviors affect people’s lives, morale, health, and productivity, with new models for soulful leadership. LBI is a must-read for every kind of leader—from the board room to the Boy Scouts, principals, pastors and even parents—ready to transform insanity into serenity within their sphere of influence.
