Birdie is now on my Lanyard w. my keys. I wear my Lanyard everywhere. (I think I got the Lanyard at Amazon. It looks a bit like a necklace) So even when I'm at Doctors or shopping I always have my Keys & BIRDIE SECURITY PROTECTION WITH ME. I tried it out at home with all windows & doors closed so not to alert/disturb neighbors. Very Loud Screech & Strobe Light. Directions say to practice a few times. I agree. I had not placed the front side that flashes a light strobe toward the FRONT which might be where attacker might be. But having BIRDIE on my Lanyard makes me more comfortable when out & about. Definitely practice a few times so you are not startled & not realize how to use it properly. It's easy enough. But Practice makes for HABIT. T
HABIT is necessary in an Emergency whether one is out or at home. (Then there is also our Car Panic Button to Alert others if we are near our car & need help.) But BIRDIE WILL STARTLE ANYONE & IDENTIFY OTHERS WHERE WE ARE & NEED HELP.
