He’s hiding his identity as a best-selling author.
And he’s also a Sasquatch shifter. Yeah, he’s a “Bigfoot,” the big hairy dude who always takes very grainy, indistinct photos. He’s been able to hide his identity/ability by keeping a low profile on Lummi Island in the Seattle area, aided and abetted by the Lummi native peoples.
Until, in a weak moment, he surrenders to loneliness and goes out on a blind date. And what starts out very right, ends up going very wrong when his secret is about to be exposed.
If you haven’t read a Lisa Medley book, you’re missing out. Shifted in Seattle, just released today and it’s another awesome read. It has believable, well-motivated characters and loads of wit, humor, and heart. Ethan when in people form looks like a normal guy (albeit one who has to shave 3 times a day). If you like wolf, cat, or bear shifter books, venture into the wild and give Shifted in Seattle a try. You’ll be glad you did. 5 stars!
Ruby Parsons takes a chance and goes on a first date with a man she talked with briefly at a show. After he puts an ad in the paper, her roommate answers it for her and away Ruby goes. But Ethan Lane has a secret, actually two secrets, and when they are mugged after their date, all hell breaks loose. Finding out Ethan is a famous author is one thing, but can Ruby handle a relationship with a sasquatch?
This is decent shifter story with a unique shifter I’ve never seen before – a sasquatch. Well, that explains a lot. I just thought Big Foot was the reigning Hide-n-Seek champion when all this time he’s just been a shifter. The plot is a bit too convenient at times and the timeline is a little wonky, but for the most part this tale delivers an interesting, steamy, and occasionally amusing bit of entertainment. Side characters are decent, too and there’s multiple POVs, always a favorite of mine.
I was beyond curious about this one. Wolf shifters? Dime a dozen. Sasquatch shifters? Nope, not a one I've ever read!
I enjoyed the characters of Ethan and Ruby, but I loved Ruby's friend, Claire. (She needs her own story with Jacob!) Claire was a spitfire in every sense of the word, and I got a kick out of her.
Lisa did an amazing job putting a unique spin on a very real question that hangs out there; Does Bigfoot exist? What if other mythical creatures also exist in a similar shape-shifter capacity? The Happy For Now ending definitely made me go "hmmm..."
