You see the book is split into 4 main sections. The first section is a simple gallery show casing many illustrations of promotional works, and other picture like you would see in 'Tony's Artworks from Shining World.' and many other stereotypical art books.
The second section contains Character Gallery, with colored designs and ideas of the process of the characters. I tend to like art books that include this section. because it normally also showcases facial exertions of characters and small artist notes. To me this is good for reference, and seeing the thought placed behind the design of the character.
The third section contains concept art from the game of such things as locations, airships, and layouts on how they wanted certain cut scenes to play out.
Now the final Section is my Favorite section of them all. As with the second section this is also a Character Gallery, but this one is full black and white rough sketches taken from the drawing boards of the artists of the characters. As such you get to see more rough ideas of the characters and notes of the process and thought behind the development of the characters. Also by comparing the first sketches and the final product of a characters, is a morale boost to see the artist didn't just go, "Blam! Here is how the main character looks."
Speaking of the artist between the sections there are small interviews withe the artist and the game design team.
This book was very enjoyable to me, and I recommend to anyone who like learning for others, or anyone who needs that extra boost of confidence.
