perfect fit and comfortable

I am 5 foot, 115 pounds with hips bigger than my top and pant size of 4 or 6. compressed bike shorts I buy is a size medium...but with SD's Loose Shorts, I fit perfectly into a size SMALL. beware the first time wearing it, I did feel sore and had to adjust my cup often. every time after, it fit perfectly in place without me having to adjust it. I wear this for karate and the first 40 minutes I do high energy exercises that you think would move the cup or shorts. nope...it stays in place. I am comfortable wearing it and it gives me a peace of mind from any "accidents" from a knee.

Since my daughter wears these for hockey, I decided to let her tell me about them. Seriously, she has never complained about them at all. The only drawback that she could come up with was the velcro, which she doesn't think holds the best. My son has a pair of hockey jock shorts, and his velcro is holding up better.
She really likes these, and it saves us tons of money on tape!

I purchased three Shock Doctor women's hockey pants/shorts in size XL. The pants and other pair of shorts fit me fine. This one probably would fit a size 12 girl....it was MULTIPLE sizes too small. Measurements on the size chart are extremely inaccurate. Buyer beware.

the jock strap on my last pair finally snapped so I figured it was time to upgrade. These fit great because I ordered up a size, normally an 8/10 so I ordered a large. The pelvic protector isn't annoying, they hold my socks up nicely, and they dry out pretty quickly. This is the second season I've had them and they're holding up well so far.

I have three pairs of these shorts and enjoy them very much. They are very comfortable and they do a great job of holding up my socks! However, they do run small. I read another review on this site (Amazon) where someone else mentioned that they run small (Thank you!), so I went to Shock Doctor's website to look at their sizing chart. The only thing I don't like is how cheaply made the protector is; however, this is the only one I've ever seen so I don't know if that's normal for female protective devices...?
