Wow! I loved Shock Loss, the fifth installment in the Southern Fraud Thriller series. I couldn’t put the book down. As Julia puts clues together and searches for answers, she knows she is in a fight for her life. Julia is a great character. She is incredibly smart and believes all victims deserve justice. Her relationship with Mark finally heats up, and I’m so glad these two hurt souls have found each other. Together, they make a formidable team.
I definitely recommend this series (and do read them in order). It is an interesting, well-written series with great characters and plots that keep you glued to your seat. My feelings about the book that’s coming next are bittersweet. I’m sad it will be the last book in this series, and I will definitely miss these characters, but, at the same time, I’m anxious to see how it all ends. Can’t wait for Book 6! If you give this series a try, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Happy reading!
While I love the books as a whole and the plots a intriguing, one of the biggest draws for me is the growing relationship between Julie and Mark Vincent. She is calling him Mark more. I don't think that spoiler will bother anyone.
When I first discovered this series about six months ago, I was intrigued by the premise that Julia was an insurance fraud investigator. I work in the insurance industry and was curious to see how (or if) insurance could be interesting to read about after dealing with it all day. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it and it was fun seeing insurance terms I deal with daily play out in a fictional mystery. The day after I read Absolute Liability, I went to work and excitedly told my boss all about this great book I'd read about an insurance fraud investigator. This series is a must read for fans of romantic suspence!
