- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2013I purchased the entire series of these books for my first grader son after he found one at the local library. They are an easy to read graphic novel format with the same look as superhero comics. Using bright colors, action scenes and simple language they explain some basic scientific concepts in a way that children can not only understand but enjoy. As I hoped they got my son interested in knowing more about the topics. Definitely worth the money and fun to read even for adults unfamiliar with the topics themselves.

most of it himself.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2018My 8 year old son and I love Max Axiom comics! So great to teach with and spurs on many great discussions, they're extremely well written and thought out. Impressive interplay between being easy enough to read through without glossing over interesting details.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2014The idea of these books is great, but they need to make the book longer with more of a plot so that children have time to get into the adventure and learn the information.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2011My 7 yr old son and I loved reading this "comic book." I think it would be great for older children as well. My son is into atoms, molecules, black holes, etc. so he is predisposed to liking anything science related, but I think this would be a great introduction for kids that haven't gotten the science bug yet. The concepts are introduced in an intelligent, yet still accessible way that holds interest. We bought quite a few of the Max Axiom books and plan to get more!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2012These are the perfect books for reluctant readers. My son struggled to meet his non-fiction reading quotas at school until we found Max Axiom. Not only is the science explained in an easy to understand manner, these books are fun to read. For visual learners, the graphics are an added bonus. Highly recommend.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2020Fun way to engage students.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2015My wife uses these in her 5th grade classroom and the students really like them. She found it especially useful with reluctant readers.
