I had some nice black boots that the sole was coming up, this worked great. It was not all that messy like some say, but it is a bit hard to apply. My sole was not all the way coming off, so it was hard to get it in there, but I managed to without getting it all over the place. i squeezed it inside the opening and used a toothpick to push it around to the edges of the sole. I let it sit over 24 hours and wore them yesterday and they are fixed perfectly.

Update: Jan 25th, my boot repair with this is holding up very well and I have been wearing my boots everyday, I actually forgot that I made this repair back in Nov. I am very happy with this GOO.

Exactly as expected. This is the Black color. Be sure to match the color as needed. Proper bonding technique is a must. Youtube can help you with this information. I've attached a photo that is the result of my semi professional work on a pair of thrift store shoes to replace stock soles. I used sanding and shoe polish to further clean up my work. Amazing and excellent. Definitely will buy again.

I originaly bought this to make me a build-up on left shoe. After a broken hip my left leg is 1 1/2" short, I had a shoe shop fill my prescription with a nice pair of dress shoes, cost $25 per 1/2" total $75. I cannot pay this for house shoes, work shoes and casual wear. I go to wal-mart and buy flip-flops that are 3/4" thick, glue them back to back and apply them to my shoe, cost $2-3 plus glue. I had to reorder , my friend used the first order to fix his work boots and other shoes w/ lloose soles. Great product used by the professional, read and heed the instructions

I have some expensive dead lifting shoes and the tips were starting to come apart. Not wanting to part with them I opted to try this stuff out and couldn't be happier. I advise following the instructions and applying very thin layers over and over again and you will have a very strong bond. On parts that I rushed it quickly came apart under load. Overall this is an amazing product that helped me repair 3 pairs of shoes.

I purchased this to fix the toe of a pair of black boots I have not had for long, so far the stuff is holding up well, and it saved me from throwing away a pair of boots.
Some tips if you are fixing a toe area.
Stuff a sock, or something like some wadded up paper towels inside the shoe before beginning, this is to help the toe keep some form as you use something to hold the toes shape.
Then squirt your goo inside it, and spread it around with something like a clean Popsicle stick, I went with quite a bit of goo as I wanted it to also spread out a bit on its own after compressed.
I then folded up a paper towel and put it over the outside of the toe, and then used several rubber bands on the toe, I stretched each one to go around the toe twice as to make it tight enough, and I spread them out a bit.
I used Alliance Advantage Rubber Band Size #64 (3 1/2 x 1/4 Inches) rubber bands, it took about 10 or so before I was happy with the coverage/compression, I let it cure for 48 hours before removing the rubber bands.

Fantastic product. Bought it to fix a pair of waders and it worked perfectly. No more leaks and best of all, no need to purchase replacement waders. Have used it also to fix numerous pairs of headphones where the cables have separated. Dries quickly and looking forward to see what else it can fix.

I have already gotten my money's worth and only used on one pair of badly separating boots. This is great stuff. I wear disposable glove(s) and have many old toothbrushes for pre-gluing. Then I keep the boots warm for 2 days or so while curing, though I pressed my luck and used boots less than 48 hours after application (kept very warm).

I had these boots resoled for $75; soles started to delaminate after minimal use (30 miles). Not having time to send back to Seattle shoe repair, I had a second nearby cobbler fix for $15 using caulk (worked but ugly job). Then after another year of hard use, one boot started to totally open up - I could put my hand almost all the way across sole INSIDE the tread-upper boundary! Other areas were starting to pry open as well.

But the boots had decent tread left; so I found Shoe Goo as a cheap/well-reviewed alternative to trashing the boots, which I figure have yet another year in them.

The Shoe Goo worked like a charm. I still have half the tube left. I wish I had something else to fix. Maybe I'll get creative.

FIRST REPAIR: $75 (pro in Seattle) and was total failure
SECOND REPAIR: $15 makeshift/preventive caulking and lasted 1 year or so
SHOE GOO: $8 and looks like will give me another final year of use

Funny, I've never used this stuff on shoes. However, I am an avid RC car enthusiast and I use this stuff along with mesh drywall tape to coat the inside of Lexan RC car bodies for reinforcement. It works amazingly well for that. It creates what I like to call a "poor man's fiberglass". It is super strong and flexible when dry and keeps the body from achieving major damage in heavy accidents. Shoe Goo goes on very thick and dries quickly, so you have to spread it out immediately. I've never used it for anything else besides the RC bodies, so cannot comment on how it works with shoes.
