The romance is strong and believable. The suspense and action start immediately and keep you reading, but then the story comes to a very abrupt halt. If cliffhangers bother you, as they do me, you won’t like how this story ends. I would have been happier if the author had solved at least part of the overall suspense plot in this book, which runs between this and probably all future books in this series. I enjoyed the characters, the romance, and the set-up of the plot and will look for the next book in this series, while hoping it doesn’t end as abruptly as this one.
Thanks to the author, Leslie North and Net Galley for a free copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
The story is good, the characters are well written. Falling in love quickly isn't unrealistic in the life and death situation.
The reason I couldn't give 5 stars is the abrupt ending. I am guessing there will be updates on the couple in the next books, but it wasn't really satisfying the way it ended.
Gage is "taking one for the team" by posing as a cover model, but meeting the photographer changes his life, then they are caught up in a kidnapping and danger...and love.
