How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I have read many writing aids from James Scott Bell to Lisa Cohn and this is the first book that broke it down in simple, concise steps in exactly what you'll need to engage readers. Short and sweet. Loved it.

This is indispensable to new writers, and a solid reminder for veterans. I use it as a reference, and appreciate the thoroughness of Goldsmith's approach. It's one of the most useful how-to writing manuals out there. Highly recommend.

This was a quick, succinct read and I gobbled it up in one sitting. The suggestions on plot you may or may not have heard before, but it's extremely valuable to hear an agent's take. After all, they look at manuscripts all day long...and if that doesn't duplicate an avid readers experience, I don't know what does. The reason I did not give this a full 5 stars is because it's short (fair enough, it was only 99 cents), but I can't help but thinking the agent/author and the agency has a lot more to share on the topic...and I'd pay to hear it.
