This straightforward, commonsense guide provides step-by-step instructions for writing the dreaded agent query. Its do's and don'ts cover submissions for both fiction and non-fiction. Read it before you write your query. Then go through its handy check list before you hit SEND. It'll improve your chance of signing with an agent.

Written by an experienced agent, this pamphlet contains a lot of industry standard advice - which doesn't make it less valuable. I found most of the tips to be right on and useful, but I think this agent forgets that evaluating incoming material, especially fiction, is highly subjective and authors get agents as much by luck as by mastery of the query process.

Very informative, funny, with great structure. For absolutely everyone, who wrote a manuscript and wants to approach literary agents the right way. I wish I knew about this years ago. Although I read about quering, pitching, writing etc. it's always much more helpful to hear it firsthand from a person, who knows what they are talking about.

Step by step instructions on querying literary agents by an actual agent, not just someone blogging about it. An organized outline for all phases of the querying process. I will use this right away!
